NY state has had indoor dining at 50% capacity since early June. When I look to see how many “clusters” or cases have been the result of indoor dining, there really isn’t any reporting. However, the Governor's website does have this proudly displayed....

This thing is done. Schools here in N Alabama are going back to in person for all students that didn’t sign up for virtual (currently doing staggered attendance).

If there is any surge this Fall or Winter it will be what it is and the safety threat will be purely manufactured by the media with constant peppering of anecdotes and selective statistics.

The LLY ACTIV 3 trial that was paused isn't a vaccine. It's a therapeutic. NIH is coordinating efforts for both vaccines and therapeutics in ACTIV. This one just happened to get paused today. JNJ and AZN trials (both vaccines) were recently paused as well. These events aren't uncommon in phased clinical trials. The number of headlines regarding covid trials being paused may seem to be increasing, but it is likely due to the volume of covid related trials (vaccines and therapeutics) that are currently ongoing. I don't know if I've ever seen so many concurrent trials targeted at a singular outcome in my lifetime. The high volume of trials will yield a high volume of headlines.

It is. It’s also disgusting to think we should ruin people’s lives by shut downs. A practice the WHO even says we shouldn’t do. A practice that was in no countries pandemic plan pre-Covid. A practice that has us over reacting based on CDC data. You realize if you are under 70 it has less then 1.5% chance of killing you. Over 70? Less then 5%.

It's actually well below 1% for most people.
