Speaking of starting QB's, remember when...

eh Florida is very beatable, all we should have to do is run the ball down their throats, they cant stop anyone....

but Florida is our kryptonite no matter how bad they are on any year.
Exactly, they could be worse than us and we find a way to lose to them.

Peterman went to the NFL....
Last time I checked Peterman went on to Pitt and had a good college career that put him in the NFL.
You ignorant!!
Remember Peterman did fine at Pitt, been in the NFL, Where’s Worley been?
Maybe botch couldn’t make an offensive plan for Peterman to succeed.
Remember Hiesman winners Mayfield, Burrow? Didn’t win at their first schools cause they didn’t get a chance! Dumb coaches kicking their selves now I bet!!

Peterman was mediocre in college. He literally had one 300 yard game. He got lucky it was against Clemson and scout saw it.

He then became literally the worst NFL qb and maybe player ever.

I wouldn't use Peterman as an I gotcha. lmao

Botch gave in to similar fanbase/QB misery and benched Worley for Peterman? How'd that turn out?
Except he didn't. Worley got injured... and eventually it worked out fine because Dobbs got his shot. They hoped Peterman could play well enough to preserve Dobbs' RS.

JG's no Iceman, Tee, Dobbs nor even Ainge, but he gives us our best chance to win...or he wouldn't be playing.
If that's true then UT should not renew the scholarships of the other 3 guys. They should tell them to take a walk and start over next year.

Even if that were true at this specific point in time... it does NOT mean that he does not have limitations that are crippling the team. It also does not mean that one of the others would not step up if given a real opportunity.

Y'all think he's got pix of CJP with a goat or something and that's why he starts? CJP doesn't owe JG anything - he's Botch's recruit. If the backups were sort of close, CJP would start them every game for the rest of the season to build experience for next year.
No. I think Pruitt has fallen in love with JG because he's a GREAT practice player, a good kid, and has battled through a disappointing career. I think Pruitt is focusing on a "lack of mistakes" and not considering the "opportunity costs" of continuing to play a guy with fatal flaws.

Maybe JG just needs to come off the bench...whatever, but he's the best chance we've got to win games.
That's an opinion. Not a fact. I like Pruitt a lot but I think he's making a huge mistake with JG.

JG gave UT NO CHANCE of winning this past Saturday. UGA's game plan was based on JG's weaknesses. They didn't believe he could beat them deep often enough to turn the game. They knew he wouldn't react quick enough to burn them when they blitzed.

You WILL get mistakes if you play any of the other three. But Shrout is accurate and on time with deep throws. Pruitt praised his ability to anticipate throws even when he was a freshman. Maurer has shown the ability to read and throw quickly and accurately. We haven't seen HB but presumably he has something in those categories that warranted that 5* ranking.

The issue I and most others have is why is JG the best QB on the roster in year 3? That's a terrible indictment on the staff from a roster building and coaching standpoint.
It's definitely a what if scenario but had there been a typical spring/fall practice schedule, Bailey might be getting gametime now. That Pruitt had the scrimmage over the weekend with Bailey getting all the snaps seems to indicate he's #2 and Pruitt is trying to ready him for game play.

No.... you have heard why and you’ve refused to acknowledge the reasons. There’s a difference.
Your made up fantasies that literally not one professional or coach agree with don't count.

He would have been ranked higher, played better, and played more if he were even 1/10th of what you say. '

His play, and lack of play, speak for themselves.

We're also acting like Pruitt didn't give the other QBs a chance last year, or like he won't give them a chance this year either. The first two weeks for JG were decent enough, at least to not be benched. Obviously last week was rough, but who else played well? Palmer? That's about it. He's not blocking out there or running the ball. Those two aspects were terrible as well. Should we bench all those players as well?

Gruden signed Peterman with the Raiders...Last I heard he was on the practice squad.

I would like to know what has been a negative on Bailey.....I honestly haven't heard anything. We didn't get to see him in the Spring...Summer and he missed 2 weeks of a shortened camp. Has a coach said something I missed? I saw him play several HS games....I thought he looked the part of a SEC QB and was worth his star ranking.

He is literally the worst "qb" in NFL history.

People need to stop with the "but Peterman made the NFL" crap. So did the guy who started over him and he was and is better.

Thats why Gruden went and got him to Raiders, Gruden & Vegas are paying him $ 2,133,000 a year . Wish I was literally the worst multi millionaire while laughing all the way to the Bank.

Remember that time Jones finally had no choice but to put Dobbs in due to Worleys injury? Or the time Dooley benched Simms for Tyler Bray? Or when Fulmer finally had seen enough of Matthews and Suggs?
Joey Matthews was the biggest joke of a starting QB at UT since CJ Leak

There are stats to back it up. Its not a made up claim. It is a literal fact that has been discussed on many NFL shows and by many NFL writers,

He is a clipboard holder and Gruden sucks now.

I would love to have the gig too. Doesn't mean he isn't terrible. He is.

You remember Peterman went on to be successful at Pitt and played in the NFL

They need a chance this year. Shrout and BM are a another year into the program. The mistakes they made last year may not happen this year.
JG was only good in the Missouri game and 1/2 of the SC game. We should of won the SC game by 20 points but didn’t because of JG’s performance on third down.
