JG’s interception. Okay... some of this has to fall on Chaney and Friend.

At the point when JG is supposed to release the ball we got a TE and a slot receiver running side-by-side 2 yards apart. Wanya Morris on his ass, 2 interior linemen blocking UGA’s NT and 2 untouched defenders in JG’s face.

Awful play.

Yep, noticed that too. That’s from not getting enough practice reps. So many missed assignments this game it made my head spon

LOL... predictable from some of you. JG did nothing wrong... it was everyone else's fault that he didn't protect the ball and made a stupid throw.

His turnovers changed the nature of this game. His other fumble gave UGA a shorter field.

But the biggest thing.... is that UGA didn't respect him. Even after he threw a couple of good balls, they didn't believe he could beat them throwing over the top. They kept playing downhill against the run game. They knew he doesn't anticipate well and wouldn't burn them when they blitzed.

Nothing new. His limitations limits the O... and costs UT games.

I don’t disagree

Your boy JG stinks on ice
1. he's not my boy
2. im smart enough to know we are not on uga's level yet as a program
3. our starting LT is playing his way into shape from missing a lot of practice due to quarantine. cade just got ruled eligible so there's chemistry issues upfront

4. pruitt is building wisely, but some of you morons want overnight success.
5. winning bowl games is getting better recruits in and better players signing. trust the process

that's not a JG issue, that's them knowing our wrs dont have that kind of speed.

there's issues he has like he doesnt come off reads as fast meaning he is still not completely familiar with the plays.

Hardly. UT has speed at WR. A lot of it. And that has been a JG CONSTANT during his career at UT. He's off target even on the deep balls he completes.

Then you agree he should be replaced? Bennett has less time in UGA's system than JG has in UT's. Remember they just changed OC's and O's. He didn't seem confused. Corral just lit Bama up... in a new system with a brand new staff.

How many years do you think a 5th year Sr needs before he's "familiar" with the plays?

No, JG is to supposed to read the defense, set the coverage, and make pass to the open WR. You know, the type of play most QBs routinely make who start in the SEC.
can u read when a defender is in ur face? how about 2 or three

who?

and to the second part, its Kiffin. Kiffin is better than chaney and we all know this. plus kiffin is very familiar with Saban's defense. Ole Miss has also recruited better, especially up front. was ole miss's starting left tackle out on quarantine for weeks? how about uncertainty of its starting left guard due to being a transfer needing clearance?

nah, none of that matters unless its Maurer, right?

The bad: I seriously doubt there are any bowl games this year. And if this team doesn't show improvement we won't get those elite level talent guys or keep a lot of the talent we have committed. We showed no improvement against GA.

The good: there is still football to be played.

JG sucks man. You sound ridiculous defending him

Once he fumbled, all confidence evaporated and he made a series of bad decisions. Fumbling is a cardinal sin for a QB and he did it three times. Plenty of QBs get sacked. Very few cough it up 3 times in 15 game minutes with an interception to boot. Mainly because they'd be on the bench. Shrout got benched last year for throwing to double coverage and it didn't even get intercepted. It's on Pruitt for keeping JG in there through the meltdown.

You can't be serious with this, right? Do you realize everything in the statement you're hot taking is determined pre-snap? So yes, he should be able to do those things without two or three defenders in his face because there are not two or three defenders in face. Good lord.

The OL should definitely take some heat for their play today no doubt, but an experienced qb has to know to protect the ball in those situations. Simply tuck it and take the sacks and it would still be a ballgame.

I worried that after the first turnover that JG was on the verge of imploding and sure enough he did. A different qb prolly isn't going to overcome the OL woes there but perhaps they wouldn't have provided Georgia with a full course meal.

Ol has to perform better, but quick decisions from qb would have helped. Wish we could have seen what one of our other qbs could have done under pressure when game got out of hand

I just know that I, for one, am glad that Fulmer put his little foot down on that Kiffin for OC nonsense. After all, Kiffin took Fulmer’s rightful job for life, remember? Imagine the horror of Kiffin spending a season or two at Tennessee running the offense before he snags a HC position.

Meanwhile, Fulmer is siphoning off some of that cash he was rightfully entitled to since he was unfairly fired before salaries went stratospheric.

I’m just glad this is working out so well.

Carry on.
