It’s possible they were 3 stars and they are not as good as Tan-O. If they have limited up side then no coaching in the world could change that.

The kid needs to learn how to protect himself a bit and a couple of more years of testosterone coursing thru his veins will do wonders. JG is horrible but the kid is tough as nails now. Not so much his early 8 years ...

Hoping the same for Maurer. And really hoping the young man is mentally up for it because when we love them we really love them, but boy when we turn on these young men... I hope his mind is right and ready for that.

I’m not sure.
I’d like to see us further along but I’m not sure how realistic that is. There was once a time when players like Henrey T would be in the rotation but not start till his jr year. He’s the signal caller on D as a true sophomore.
I see the best Tennessee team I’ve seen in 10 ish years.
I see reasons to believe that the next year will be better than this year. And I’m not sure it will be a championship run year either.
The thing I do know for sure is JP isn’t getting fired anytime soon.

Maybe. I don't know the number of responsibilities a QB has apart from completing a pass.
We are improving. It's slow. It's limited by personnel and maybe some coaches. But it's happening.

I really believe that if he was the better QB then CJP would have him out there.
Everything I’ve heard is that Bailey is the only QB we have that’s an SEC caliber QB.

Just look at our Oline. All 4 and 5 stars and they got manhandled.

I agree that Pruitt isn’t going anywhere for a few more years.

CJP said he was shocked how weak everyone was when he got here. We pushed SoCar an Mizzou around on both lines. That didn’t happen last year so we’re stepping up. We’re just not there yet.

I don’t disagree on CJP not thinking he has anything better. That’s the only thing that makes sense. And Chaney has known some high caliber QB’s too. I mean hell fire before maybe last season if you’re a top ranked highly recruited QB coming out of HS what makes you think “Tennessee... yeah... that’s the place for me” 🤷‍♂️ Unless you’re a legacy or just can’t imagine playing anywhere else I don’t see it.
