Oh didn’t know they were awarded without combat V. Thanks for the info.The Bronze Star can be awarded without a V for merit and achievement. or with a V for valor. Newer military guys can maybe cover what it takes to get the regular one - they are not handed out like candy but sure looks like they aren't exactly rare these days - medal creep.
