Full grown longhorn bulls are impressive and scary.

Sorry, but.... not all longhorns are steers. Not sure where you got that notion.

Longhorn is a breed of cattle, replete with bulls, cows, heifers, and steers - like all other cattle breeds.

Got it, thanks. My Mom was a student there in the 60s, and she corrected me today also.

I’m told when she was there, BEVO was a steer, for safety purposes.

I think Ralphie the buffalo at CU is always female for the same reason.
