Wonder what the over is for her spread

Random but I really think AJ Johnson's story will be a film one day. Should be good publicity for him and the University because we never turned our back on him and he still graduated/stuck around Knoxville. Who plays Butch Jones? I say Allen from Two and half Men.
I say Kirby Smart.

Roman Harper:

ā€œTennessee will not run the football against this Ga defense. They are too good. Won’t happen.ā€
Trey Smith is the best Guard is football, Cade Mays will be drafted in the first two rounds, Kennedy has valuable experience, Morris/Wright/Carvin all have NFL potiental and are starting to play like it. It is impossible UGA has more NFL talent in their front 7 when we have 5 guys with NFL talent on our line.

Then we have an experienced RB leading the league in rushing and a an NFL caliber back in Gray.

It is ignorant to say we won't be able to move the ball on the ground.

If he’s right, we don’t have a chance on Saturday

Our DL, as well as JG, will need to ball out. I'd certainly give the edge to their DL over ours and that may very well be the difference in the game. We will have to play inspired football up front on defense. I honestly believe our staff will get 110% out of that group's effort and it will be needed. We have to pressure their QB. Repeatably.

I don’t know what to think of this game. My head says we don’t have a chance. That defense is absolutely nasty. We have decent receivers, but no game changers out there. Gonna be hard for them to get separation. We have a nasty OL and good backs, but that running game is against the strength of their team, the best front 7 in football. Not exactly easy. And then we have JG, who has been much better this year, but also hasn’t faced much pressure. He’s gonna have to throw accurate balls into tight windows under pressure on Saturday. Our offense is going to have a hard time. But you also have to wonder how much of that was AU being really bad. They’re not a good football team.

Our defense isn’t there yet. We’re getting better every week and eventually it’s going to click, especially for our secondary. Outside of Henry, our LB’s struggle in coverage. Hopefully Sham being back helps us defend the middle. On the DL, lot of experience, but Solomon out of shape and Middleton didn’t do much Saturday in his first game back. We have experience, but no stars there on the DL. They’re good but not great. They’ll get better as the year progresses. Hopefully they and the secondary take that step on Saturday.

But then I think of GA’s offense. They aren’t scary at all. I don’t think Ga can line up and run the football against us at will even tho we aren’t where we need to be yet on the DL. Honestly I think Bennett is about the same level as Mizzou’s QB we played on Saturday. Ga has better receivers and RB’s but if we can get pressure to Bennett, we can force him to make mistakes. He threw 14 picks in juco last year. He hasn’t fixed that in an offseason of no football. This is the key. If we want to win, we have to get to Bennett. He’ll miss and he’ll throw us the ball. That’s our chance.

I feel similar as well. But I have decided that it comes down to us smacking them in the face the first time we have the ball. Dont have to score, but get their friggin attention. I think we do that often enough, the puppies might wilt. Then we have our chance.

Rewatching these games. One of the things we have drastically improved with is shedding blocks and making those contested tackles. Makes the defense easier to watch.

Great post. I agree with pretty much every word.

That OL sucks
We will be able to run the football against them. Auburns ol has 14 total stars (4 3 āļø and one 2 āļø) if I’m not mistaken. We have 14 from center to left tackle.

I do think UGA survives and makes a play at the end to win the game but I’d love to see us pound it for 200 yards rushing and shut up that talk about how great their defense is after facing Arkansas and an overrated Auburn.
