No complaining after nice Missouri win

Team could of done things a bit better but ultimately they dominated the line of scrimmage and took care of business. Didn't have to show much of anything either, pretty vanilla and put the game away in the 4th. Satisfied
Speaking of vanilla.. Is it me or does it seem we aren't calling blitzes very much in both games? Seems like the defense is playing vanilla also. What do you think?

As far as winning? You can't do better than 2-0. In terms of film, I would be licking my chops at playing this secondary if I was an opposing OC. They were routinely beaten over the top by a back up QB.
Missou is just in a bad place. Talent is down and coaching carousel isn't helping. UT has one more bad team on the roster in Arkansas. Every other game is losable.

It's not just you. We have barely blitzed the first two games.

A non-Vandy, non-UK SEC opponent, yet the game was literally never in doubt. All of any of our complaining was really because we always want to win by 500, but a 35-12 blowout? Hell yeah we ought to take it and be more than glad. Over 200 rush yards, too? And one defensive TD given up? Very great game.

Alabama beat the same team 38-19. We beat them 35-12. And they didn’t have to face the good QB like we did.

I see where you’re coming from, but. Every game is losable, just like every game is winable. That’s why you play the games. Ark, KY, and Vandy all look very “ winable.”

With that O-line and defense, we can beat anybody on our schedule!
No but we should be competitive. I wish we could beat everyone but we will need to get better on defense in a hurry for Bama. Maybe georgia depending how they look tonight. We looked improved a good bit from week one and week two so can't wait to see what georgia and auburn look like tonight.

I don't think Pruitt blitzes much once he gets up 2 scores in the 2nd half, tries to get there with just 4 or 5 and keeps everything in front. I think we'll see it early and often vs GAs completely retooled offense. If Auburn shows Pruitt anything tonight it'll be where we can be effective in blitz packages.

I've been a big JG doubter, but today, he played within himself and looked good. He seemed more comfortable in the pocket and was stepping into his throws and they were on target. Keyton dropped a easily catchable ball.

Our O-Line looked awesome. In years past, that 4th down TD would have been snuffed for a loss. They were getting major push.

RB's played hard and looked good. The Freshman looked good in his limited time.

WR's were solid but Keyton has to catch the ball when JG has it on the money. Velus Jones is going to break out at some point. I like him a lot and Jaylin has some serious wheels.

Our D looked good again. They adopted a Bend but don't Break mentality at times and they didn't break but stiffened up at the correct times. That Pick was a thing of Beauty. We have some serious talent on the Defensive side of the ball

I like Mizzou coach. His play calling was very nice. That 4th down Goal line call was pure genius. He will be a force to be reckoned with in upcoming years.

There should be no complaining after a nice Missouri win this week. The team generally look good. There always things to improve but the complainers need to take the week off, learn to relax and enjoy we did more than was expected and we are playing the type of Tennessee football most of us thing Tennessee football is.

None today. Defense did good. They stress your defense schematicly so no complaints

Need to quit missing FGs, could cost us a game. JG I thought played possible his best game. Great to see 3rd down conversations. This OL could end up being really special. Defense needs to keep improving and getting a few players back should really help.

I wish Ty could have gotten 10 more yards to have both backs over 100, but I don't think CJP is the kind of coach that gives a flip about those sorts of things. And I'm okay with that.

1. Palmer is much more of a possession receiver, but he is a really good one. Sort of a poor man’s Jauan Jennings. We could use a WR stepping up to be the kid who takes the top off of a defense. Hyatt, perhaps?

2. OLine play was exceptional. The one sack JG took was a coverage sack and poor recognition by JG, who did a poor job of evading the rush by stepping up in the pocket.

3. JG was much more efficient. Much better on 3rd down. He had a couple wonky throws, but they didn’t stand out as much as last week because they didn’t kill drives. The one throw where he threw the ball directly to the Mizzou defender (targeting review) was horrendous, but by and large, he was much better and did nothing to put the game in doubt. Good to see him step up and run rather than force a bad pass on plays where no one is open.

4. Eric Gray is tremendously more elusive than Ty Chandler, yet the staff seems married to Chandler, especially on 1st and 2nd down. Chandler is above average, but he generally gets what’s there and not much more. Gray creates yards with vision and elusiveness and their touches ought to reflect that. He did put the ball on the ground, but it was near the sideline and not a turnover. Like to see him used more.

5. Deandre Johnson got another sack, but otherwise, our DLine got little pressure on them. We need to be more disruptive up front.

6. Second week in a row that the opposing QB found WRs routinely open without a defender within 5 yards of them. We have to tighten up that coverage if we aren’t going to get to the QB.

7. Missed a chip shot FG, but didn’t hurt us in the outcome.

8. Coverage teams weren’t quite as crisp as they typically have been under Pruitt.

9. Pruitt looks like Little Bo Peep with his choice of neck gaiter usage.
