Speaking of Vanderbilt, I think they just acquired or are about to acquire several Tennova hospitals in the mid. TN region including Tullahoma, Shelbyville and Clarksville.Drag her ass to the Vandy ER. They should admit her. If they try to send her out, tell them that you will hold them libel for any serious condition that is found (medical negligence). Will add y’all to our prayers.
For everything!
Told you guys he may or may not respond by game time. Well done, doc, by getting in here to respond before kick off!Not really a big brace, but it’s specifically designed to keep his shoulder from dislocating. It’s not foolproof, but it’s definitely helps. That labral tear significantly increases the chance to dislocate.
Are you really that surprised a message board 99% populated by men (of varying ages) didn’t wish you Happy Birthday??
It’s kind of what we do....water is wet, Georgia never wins national championships, Florida fans love jorts, Bama fans love their siblings and men forget birthdays. It’s science really
But seriously, happy belated birthday!
Just giving you a hard time, bud! Hope you’re doing well. I love to see that I’m doing similar things with my Equine patients as you guys are doing for human patients, in regards to treatments for soft tissue injuries.Hey, seriously harsh. I wish that we could personal message through VN, would make it easier to keep up...
Work family pets have been consuming lots of my time. I worry that if I skip pages to catch up, then I will miss a medical question, have 3 in the last few pages...
I would appreciate some prayers y'all. My best friend's husband was killed in a car crash a week ago. My 19 year old niece has knots on neck, chest and underarms. One on her chest is growing rapidly...from pimple size to over a dime size in 2 weeks. The earliest they can get her in at the cancer center is October 19. Lymphoma runs in the family. We are trying to get her to go through the ER in Murfreesboro or at Vanderbilt, but she is a stubborn teenager that is still trying to come to grips with the possibility. Plus my husband that is an alcoholic is missing more and more work. Was too drunk when he got up today to go. @VolsDoc81TX @Ulysees E. McGill any advice would be appreciated
Made about $1000 so far. Sold two of the Mantles, weren’t great shape, but happy so far.
Also, Happy Birthday @SweetasSoda
Voltaren is great. Finally OTC here. Used in in thailand for yearsIt’s Patellar tendinitis with bursitis. Ice, over the counter anti-inflammatories (advil or aleve) Look up how to stretch your quads (look up Rectus femoris stretches, best ones).
The bursa is supposed to be there, it’s just inflammed.
I would try Voltaren gel, apply to the area 4 times per day for 10 days then decrease to 2 times per day until pain free. It’s the NSAID diclofenac and will work locally. It just went to over the counter , no longer need a prescription.
If those fail, then seek medical help. Make sure they use Ultrasound to guide an injection. Steroid in bursa good, in tendon, not good...
If you need anything else, just email me

Hope that helps.
That one goes up and wraps around the chest and shoulder.
You must have torn your lateral epicondyle tendons for them to be bracing you.
If you can afford it try ultrasound guided PRP injected around the tears. Has been shown to be superior to surgery in many cases...
@Billy Antrim if you are anywhere near Arlington TX, email me and I will do it for my cost...
I have experienced/seen a fair share of bursitis in my wrestling career. Not pleasant but never super serious in my experience. We had an excellent athletic trainer, too. It’s Patellar tendinitis with bursitis. I take a multi vitamin every morning, still confused about how much vitamin D I should take with it. I read SS and Doc’s back and forth and read up some on the interwebs. I am somewhat deficient, but I don’t know if I need to go by my weight, while factoring in the deficiency. I have a strong immune systemWear it all you want, my point for months has been the stupid government shills barking so loudly and forcing mask use while almost ignoring the more important deterrent in their daily harangues...boosting immune systems.
Heard one report from my Dad yesterday..if you get your vitamin D levels up you are 54% less likely to contract the virus, and if you do contract the virus you are 80% more likely to survive than those who don not.
Do whatever you want, but a strong immune system is much more important that your chain link fence imo.
Or maybe you're vampires and don't get enough sun.I'll mention this and then duck for cover, lest I draw the ire of a certain doctor. One of my coworkers is in his early 60s and takes 6000 units of D per day. He recently had his level checked: 15ng/ml! Significantly deficient, and half the level of 30ng/ml that appears to be the hard knee in the severity curve. Meaning...even doses that are described by some as being dangerously high (10x the RDA) are not near high enough for some older people. Get your levels checked. Take as much as is required to be comfortably above 30ng/ml, 40-60ng/ml is a good safe level. I take about the same amount as him, but for me that translates to a level of 50ng/ml. There are several others here in their mid 50s all taking about the same amount and they have similar levels to me. The point being that as you age you don't make as much, nor do you absorb it as well. You may be dangerously deficient (from a COVID perspective) and never know it.
