From most sources it would appear Lane Kiffin will be offered and will accept the HC position at UT, who would you like to see as his coordinators???

DC - Rumored to be Lane's dad Monty Kiffin current DC for the Tampa Bay Bucs. Said to be one of the best DCs in football.

(Also the DL coach is projected to be Ed Orgeron currently DL coach for the New Orleans Saints.)

OC - ??? ???

Special teams coordinator - Will there be one??? (personally I hope so.)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Dude, Sarkisian, Coach O, Monte...I think I just shat myself. :crossfingers:

Just get Troop and a good special teams coach, and we are all set! Although this scenario will never happen, its fun to dream.

Yeah, Troop can be Kiffin's special assistant to handle his headset cord and pick his hat up off the ground and what not. In his free time, he can do all the towel waving he wants.

If it is kiffen, i hope his dad stays in tampa. the spread and the speed in the sec is two hard to defend in the "tampa two" . we already run a version of that now and there are huge holes all over the field and too many times the defenders are at a disadvantage. example being a rico mccoy trying to stay with percay harvin in space or dmo manned up on the fourth receiver. even berry cant keep up with some of the guys he sees in the slot. i want to see an attacking man coverage defense. not this sit back and wait for a mistake crap that chavis has been doing for the last 4 or 5 seasons. we have the athletes to press recievers at the line, blitz up the middle and off the edges, and attack the football. i dont like orgeron as he is in the middle of too many infractions..directly or indirectly. id like to see a different staff altogether but i will support whoever it is. the only guy im really excited about is maybe sarkesian. i really do like usc's PLAYBOOK. they have a lot of formations and consistantly have players running open all over the field and i really like the way there offensive line is coached and the technique that they use.

I think you are the first person I've seen who wouldn't want to see the Tampa 2 here.

A majority of the posters on here don't like TT. I'm not sure why, but every time TT is mentioned, the negative posts start to flow. I'm not sure I would want him as the OC, but if he could come back and coach WR or RB, I would be down with that.

yeah.. Monte and his Tampa Two would never work in the SEC. It obviously works incredibly well in the NFL, but they just don't have SEC speed in the NFL.

For clarity and readability the use of paragraphs and caps can be ur friends!

Just a suggestion.:)

it could be because Troop's only asset as a coach is his ability to jump up and down with a backwards hat while waving a towel.

I agree with you but we will need more speed in the secondary to be more effective.

I disagree. When coached the RB in '04 (I think) we had two 1000 yard rushers (Riggs & Houston) (I think). He also did a great job of coaching the WR. The positions he coached showed improvement from previous years.

I'm not sure about the RBs either but I do recall seeing an improvement out of the receivers when he coached them.

we actually had a good offensive line back then as well. Made it a lot easier for the RBs to look good. If Foster had that line, he'd have shattered the all time record this year.

From what I understand, TT is the reason the G-gun came to TN. TT is an awesome recruiter and pretty good coach IMO.

he's good, but he's far from living up to the billing it received when he got here. Produce and then I'll recognize your talent.

I hope he brings in some other young talent...
