I think they're trying to utilize him like a Swiss Army Knife, which could actually play in his favor (for the draft) if he performs well. Sort of the same way the Titans/Oilers used Bruce Matthews towards the end of his career, someone who can play every position (not comparing his talent to a HOF, just the scenario).

I trust our coaches (feels good to say that for three years in a row). If we need help at RT or our RT needs to move inside, I trust their judgement to move a 5 star player around and put our OL in the best place to dominate.
Matthews was a freak at USC at a time when they weren’t as readily apparent. He didn’t improve his draft position by being versatile, he did so by DOMINATING at every position he played. Trey Smith didn’t dominate at LT but he’s generational at LG. Cade has filled in at multiple spots at UGA never establishing himself at any. You don’t draft those first or second day...you take a flyer late in the draft or sign him as an UDFA. I don’t think he transferred here for more of the same. If it’s a true emergency of course you use him elsewhere...I doubt we’re in that territory.

What happened to Mincey? Also Perry still shows up on the DL on the active roster on all the sites I've checked you sure he's at OT? (or did it just happen with JJ injury?)
He played a few snaps...still working out the bugs first game. There was a lot of competition! Pruitt clarifies Perry’s on the OL and that’s where he’s exclusively practicing.

So it sucks that they keep getting bailed out of average recruiting classes with elite transfers all the time.
Transfers are a part of recruiting these days. We recruited a 5 star o lineman transfer. Door swings both ways. But i guess we could just forfeit the Florida game since they have so many elite transfers!!!

Ehh, I agree but I have to also see where Cat is coming from --- I hate those muther-truckers so much I don't want them to gain anything positive, much less keep getting talent by default of their freakin zip code... they already benefit on half their talent roster purely from where they are located and don't have to recruit as hard as others. I'd love to see them fall into the ditch we've been in for 12yrs...

Brought a tear to this Ole gal’s eyes. I miss it.

I think Chaney knew he could get away with the victory either way. I believe he wanted to establish his pass game and see which WR's he can rely on going forward. You won't see him get pass happy against UGA, I bet you that.
We rushed terribly in the first half. Credit to Chaney for not giving up.

Imo Chaney was passing because guys were getting open. I think he will continue, generally, passing around the same rate, ~50% as long as we keep executing that well.

Wonder if anyone has ever done a study of 4-5 star recruits that have tranferred out.

What was their performance level in the following year(s)?
Kamara was technically one. 5* at Bama, went juco. If the transfer rules were the same then as they are now I think he would've directly transferred somewhere else.

Off topic: One question that could be asked is if that year in Juco helped him in some way that transferring wouldn't have (ie. work ethic, humbling, etc)?

DJ will have 9+ sacks this season. He is really good...period.
With 2.5 already under his belt, that's not too crazy actually. 9 sacks would also be the greatest sack season of the past decade, except only 2016 Barnett and 2014 Maggitt.

It is a really high bar to set, but I believe in him. These are the sorts of expectations great teams have.

Any ideas on what to do with a Sandy/Mossy type yard to get it hoping and popping? My house is in NC and I would like my grass to be very green and lush.
Talk to your county extension agent. If he/she doesn't have a turf background they will refer you to an expert/get recommendations for you. My bet is it will come down to soil improvement and grass species selection. We're in a good time to start planting cool-season grasses so I would talk to someone soon.

This is the mindset i'm here for! I'm a negavol myself admittedly at times but it just gets exhausting worrying about what other teams are doing. I'm more focused on finding JJ Peterson!

Very funny---- I was actually going to bring him up in my response to you! This kid doesn't get it by mid-season, he's either gonna be Bates 2.0 handing out Gatorade on the sidelines gettin his gurl stole, or will transfer himself (or quietly be asked to transfer)
