A couple more notes from Pruitt on Vol Calls.

He said the breakdowns in secondary last week were mostly on him and the play calls he had interjected. He said that would be easy to fix as all he had to do was to keep his mouth shut. I’m serious, that’s what he said.

He was asked by I think 3 different callers about the running game. One wanted to know if we were going to be running more, another wanted to know if we were going to stick with 2 guys or give more carries to just one. Pruitt said we have to establish the run game and that we need to work one or two of our other running backs into the rotation so that they’ll be ready when we need them.

He was asked about Guarantano and he said he thought Guarantano took care of the football, got us into the right run plays, mostly made good decisions though maybe a couple times SC made it look like a bad decision. He’s not panicking about the 3rd down situation. He said did Guarantano have some throws he would like to have back? Sure, he said, and I’ve got 3 or 4 calls I’d like to have back.

Chancellor Plowman made an appearance and noted that this year at UTk we have an all-time record enrollment for new freshmen.

That makes no sens? How can you only play left tackle? Right tackle is the more fun of the two positions. Left probably makes a lot more money, but right is tackle has got to be more fun (and still makes $$$). What supposed LT would not want to make sure they know th RT spot, inside and out,.ya know...just in case.

VQ said the reason was because he can only move left. They've tried him at RT and he just doesn't move well going right.

I've heard stories of true alcoholics drinking horrible things and stories of one dying from cirrhosis sneaking it into their hospital room and if you've ever seen the effects of cirrohosis whether it's alcohol or non-alcohol induced, no one on Earth would choose it let alone make it worse by continuing to drink, Addictions are weird. Some folks can kick things easily, others need support but for some the addiction is so severe that they are almost lost to it. They're not making a choice at that point. I wish there were ways of forcible intervention in cases like that because they are killing themselves in slow motion.

Let me say this again...You can not force an addict to change. It has to be their choice. If it is forced on them by jail or other circumstances...as soon as they are faced with it again they fall...every time.

I’ve heard multiple players/ coaches say something like it’s like throwing with your left hand after using your right your whole life. But hey, you’re the guy questioning the coaches on putting a first rounder at tackle so

We are a competent QB and a bit more depth and talent at DL away from being able to compete with GA and FL. One more top 10 recruiting class.

2021 is the year

He wasn’t bulky enough previously at RT...now he is. He’ll prolly stick on the left for depth purposes.
