After rewatching the game and remembering some comments last week here on the board, I came to realized that if Eric Gray gets one more yard on the dump off pass from JG that @Catbone wouldn't be here anymore. I'm not sure how I feel about that ;)
He would have come back as crunchy cat

Until the alcoholic admits they are an alcoholic there is little you can do. I went through it with my ex. 32 years after our divorce she is still an alcoholic. It's sad really, because she was a beautiful woman with a good heart, but alcohol destroyed her, and she was never able to have a good relationship with our daughter because of it.
Heart-rendingly sad.

Very true, my mother was an alcoholic, chose the alcohol over my father and I.

For some, the addiction is so strong that there's no choice involved. I've heard stories of true alcoholics drinking horrible things and stories of one dying from cirrhosis sneaking it into their hospital room and if you've ever seen the effects of cirrohosis whether it's alcohol or non-alcohol induced, no one on Earth would choose it let alone make it worse by continuing to drink, Addictions are weird. Some folks can kick things easily, others need support but for some the addiction is so severe that they are almost lost to it. They're not making a choice at that point. I wish there were ways of forcible intervention in cases like that because they are killing themselves in slow motion.
