You really have no clue and it's comical. Absolutely nothing you say here I believe nor have I ever even said the stupid $@/+ you just posted here. You want to call me out and keep trying the old "gotcha" game that's fine by me but at least quote something that I actually believe as opposed to these fantasy beliefs you have predetermined me to have.We dont deal in context here
..freshman are expected to play at the same level as the 5th yr QB....hence the dowing on BMs play last year....so no per PulaskiVolFan freshman dont get s pass on lack of knowledge or inconsistency only JG

Nice well thought out post, a good proofreading might have made it even better I feel. Keep trying, as you're still struggling a bit with your exact verbiage.Uh oh. Triggered!!!
You have been quote enough making comparison between JG and BM last year...the fact your too thick to comprehend that JG should have been light years ahead of a lowly 3 star project tells me you dont have a clue...
Fans are frustrated because for 5 years we have sat and watch mediocrity out of the QB position...we have watched freshman from other teams play better...we watched a guy who had barely even touch a football during a game in 5 years come off the bench and play better...
Again trying to defend how good JG is by comparing him to a player who everyone said shouldnt have played or was even ready if pathetic...
You call you self a vol fan....never once i have made any comment about JG being injured and makong light of it like you have about BM and his concussions....your lower then scum in my book to even joke about that...it sad pathetic little men like yourself that perpetuate the frustration toward JG more..i promise if tou would stfu and stop. Youd see people lay off him quite a bit
Yep. He should have been 31/31. Happens all the time with this guyJust thought it would be interesting to go back and watch the game and chart the throws to see how JG ended up with decent to good stats but we were only 1 of 12 on 3rd downs. (* = would have converted 3rd down)

So based on the bad throws and how open the WR was, JG missed six 3rd down conversions to open WRs so that 1 of 12 could have easily been 6/7 of 12. Almost all of his bad throws were on 3rd down and that was a huge difference in this game. The game is not close if hit those 3rd down passes.
Good post
I’d argue there is no such thing as “too hard” when fitting the ball into a tight window like that throw was. The WR just had to catch it. If the throw is softer it brings a pick into play.
The amazing catch was a good throw. In a location where only the Wr could catch the ball. One of the best passes JG has thrown in his career here and I’m not a JG fan by any means and felt overall JG cost us at minimum 21 points Saturday.JG bad passes.

JG's biggest issue today is what it was in game one, his attitude. It is not mechanics or ability, he can do it, he obviously does in practice when no fans are watching. However, in a games he wants to show everyone that he is great so he pushes harder, hence the problem on money downs. Just watch when he makes a good play like the TD pass and him shooting the arrow, and him walking around with the ball after the game like he deserved the game ball. He wants to be great and just pushes to hard, when he could be if he didn't push.
At least he went to the right guy each time and on time.
He just needs to get the overthrows under control and he would have had an All SEC type game like everyone wants.
I like and appreciate what you did here. What I would like to see though is how many of those completions were on short throws (like ones to backs behind the line) or on those little passes (more like handoffs, but forward) to the WR that runs right in front of him. I think those passes increase his completion stats and are throws that grandma could have made.
I dont know what formula they use, but 61.9 for Mathis? Dude had the worst passing day by all QBs by far. Heck, his passer rating was only 62 and total QBR was only 9 while only passing for 55 yds....He should be WELL below average, IMO.PFF SEC QB Passing Grades - Week 1
