I think that’s what would of happened at the start of the game if McCullough had played the first half although I know he is technically our FS.

But once George became a liability you obviously had to move BT back to CB and McCullough to Safety and leave Slaughter in.

I am pretty hyped about this DL once everyone is back in the mix & near 100%

Stoked Deandre was able to get 2.5 sacks too, if he steps up to DT levels it’s gonna help the young secondary & LBs a ton.

Now see, to me there is a lot to be unpacked by that short little sound byte .
That is a masterful handling of interaction with the media. During the game, I thought that could’ve been game-changing disaster. So many bad things happened in one play - by multiple players!

But Pruitt just turned what will surely be a learning lesson to his players into a quick moment of brevity with the press. He protected his players, didn’t throw anybody under the bus, but also conveys to the fans listening that expects more from his players.

Sorry to ramble but I’m just picturing how Much less artfully Dooley or Butch, or even first year Pruitt would’ve handled talking about that situation.

Was it just me or did Brooks seem like he might have had time to still get that punt off instead of trying to run around with it? Also, I guess Albright made the box score because they declined the penalty.

I think he had time but I dunno because he could of also have made that defender slow down once the defender realized he wasn’t going to punt..... so maybe he actually made the right decision? Lol

Disagree about Banks completely. He missed so much more time than the rest of the guys on D and flashed as one of our best tacklers.

The face mask yank was dirty, but USC was flapping gums all night. I am happy our boys played with a bit of attitude, saw the OL flat smash some black shirts all night.

Banks has that “mean streak” everyone wants in a LB, he’ll get it in check. Gotta remember this was our first time playing with new LB & DL coaches too.

Don’t recall seeing either on the injury report pregame.

I was thinking the same thing. Everyone loves to get on JJP but I feel like Solomon has been pretty disappointing as a transfer. I was hoping Pruitt would be able to evaluate his game to the 5* billing out of high school. I heard he missed the majority of contact over fall camp (something like 20 days) so hopefully he will be physically ready to go by UGA.

Last 5 minutes was sloppy for both teams. Banks has serious issues between the ears. Our DBs have to get better

It was literally his first game back in a year and he shows more promise than a kid who played all last year..... was exponentially better than Crouch.
