After watching @Freak 's highlights, the things that sticks out to me in the first half:

1. We have 3rd and 3 and throw a 15 yard route (post?) incomplete; the WR did have some space
2. We gave 3rd and 2; trips right and throw an out across the hashes (had to be a 15-20 yard throw); Hyatt looked to be the primary as the slant WR wasn't even looking for pass

JG misses a wide open Keyton on rollout on 1st down

3. We have 3rd and 6 and we throw a 35 yard pass where the probability is low to complete

In the second half, we move it pretty well all half. On the 3rd and 2 before the missed FG, I am not sure if JG read it wrong or if blocking was just bad.

All that to say, I am not down on Chaney. I like him, but I was just frustrated with calling longer routes when we just want to move the sticks. Unfortunately, we have a manager at QB, and I just think they can give JG a better chance to convert those 3rd downs with a little better play calling.

Well I didn’t nail it exactly but it’s hard to be humble when you read tea leaves so well

To be be fair Sankey is paid to honor the rules set by the SEC and that’s what he’s doing here

That’s why I think the SEC will change the rule in the next 48 hours and will clear these kids. The ADs will do it not Sankey and that’s the right way

Mo Smith got a waiver as a grad transfer before the grad transfer rule was instituted. I still don't understand all this "rules are the rules and my hands are tied" so we have to vote on the rule change this year. Sankey can grant waivers for all these guys without having to change the rule and Mays could have played on Saturday.

If he gets to play this season then it is what it is and I'm happy for him. It just seems like the long about way to do it. If the rule gets changed AFTER the GA game then we really know what was up.

So we were handcuffed due to COVID hysteria among the admins? Stricter testing criteria and contract tracing than other schools?
He said he couldn't speak as to what other schools went through but ... Yeah basically sounds that way. Said our freshmen are far behind

Now see, to me there is a lot to be unpacked by that short little sound byte .
That is a masterful handling of interaction with the media. During the game, I thought that could’ve been game-changing disaster. So many bad things happened in one play - by multiple players!

But Pruitt just turned what will surely be a learning lesson to his players into a quick moment of brevity with the press. He protected his players, didn’t throw anybody under the bus, but also conveys to the fans listening that expects more from his players.

Sorry to ramble but I’m just picturing how Much less artfully Dooley or Butch, or even first year Pruitt would’ve handled talking about that situation.

Pruitt literally said we had 50 guys out for 10 practices.................. Absolutely unreal

Yeah, things could have went WAAAY worse on Saturday. All things considered, we really looked better (with a couple of exceptions) than we had any business looking.

This opening weekend could have been a Georgia State level fiasco. Glad we avoided it.

Here’s my question: you’ve known this was coming down the pike for a while. Why not have this vote in August instead of one week into an already delayed season?

I've watched this at least 10 times and while we had a number of big plays in the game I think AT's blocking for HT is the thing that stuck out the most for me. He was awesome. jmo.

My favorite part is when AT stands up and flexes on #55 after finishing the last block that let HT score. #badass
