I’d like to know where this history of being good on third down is for a qb that earned the reputation of not being able to sustain drives for a reason. We all have eyes and I’m trying not to pile on but dammit you guys make it hard! I’ve seen this team go 3 and out on a regular basis so you can’t convince me of you claim even with some BS stat. When they don’t go 3 and out, the norm is a couple of first downs and a punt. We hang on the hope of a big play every drive because JG is unlikely to get the team into scoring position 3-5 yards at a time between the 20s.
I personally seen improvement in JG. I think he played great in terms of decision making. However, the areas he showed no improvement are the same exact areas that many people have been complaining about such as accuracy and holding the ball. No ints is great but don’t get it twisted. There’s a difference in a qb that isn’t throwing ints because of accuracy and ball placement vs one that isn’t because he’s not taking chances. We have the latter and that’s the equivalent of a prevent defense. It only “prevents” you from winning (see JGs overall record).
