The record book will show us winning. Nothing else matters. So what?! We didn't do enough to win. We were fortunate the ball bounced our way. It was a matter of hot potato with whoever had the last possession. This team choked away a win. The offense combusted upon itself with penalty after penalty while trying to run out the clock. JG missed throw after throw. Defense was bound to let up given USCjr was going to have 4 downs to get a 1st.
YOu have to keep the clock running. An incomplete pass stops the clock. It was the correct call.
More or less worthless than unquantifiable, subjective things like “momentum” and “how our players feel about x player”? Lucked our way right into 7 straight. Rabbit foot engaged. Go Vols.Stats without context are worthless, but we did get the win.....but luck doesnt last forever...and we wont always have 1st rd NFL CBs benched in the 2nd half against us....JG torn up 2nd string CBs that like to have PI penalties too against Missouri...
142 passer rating and the win. Anything else?
A good coach would not pass there. Gotta keep the clock running. Had nothing to do with JG. JG was not perfect. We won, but he has not improved. You have to keep the clock running at that point in the game.My point being USC felt totally comfortable stacking the box on every play, including a 3rd and 27. With a serviceable QB, you could at least run a draw and catch them off guard.
With JG, everyone in the stadium knew a run was coming. Hell, USC could have put 6 DL and 5LB all in the box and we still would not have felt comfortable letting JG pass the ball.
JG is bad....but leave the political BS out of it. Took away from your entire point, man. This absolutely BLOWS my mind. As well as anyone who has ever played football that is a Vol fan, or even pays attention to the games.
The fact that people STILL defend JG is just absolutely amazing to any rational, intelligent person.
Are yall Socialists too?
Despite the fact it has failed EVERY single time it has been implemented, and Venezuelan folks are starving as we speak due to Socialism...yall never fail to say...
" they just didn't do it right. It will work THIS time..."
How can anyone still defend a QB that after 5 years cannot deliver a football to WIDE open receivers accurately...nor on time???
HoW?????
How the Hades can you be this blind man?
Do yall not know what an accurate pass looks like anymore? Is that it???
Or are you just related? Mrs. Guarantano, is that YOU???
How can anyone defend him? As a person? ? Sure. Seems like a good guy.... as a QB???
We should have been up 21 at halftime. Period. He left that many wide open WR on the field. We won this game by pure WILL on the part of an exhausted defense, and an Oline that showed up a little in the 2nd half.
Most people don't get the subtlies of the game....why would someone who only looks a forest and see a forest not see the individual trees rotting......go volsMore or less worthless than unquantifiable, subjective things like “momentum” and “how our players feel about x player”? Lucked our way right into 7 straight. Rabbit foot engaged. Go Vols.

Considering most of our issues on defense were in the secondary tonight, that has nothing to do with Henry. We had a freshman replace Shamburger and coach Boom exploited that with Smith. I do feel like Pruitt/Ansley should've put Taylor on him tho. That, and our DL not only needs work (which Pruitt aluded to) but they got tired out cause our offense didn't help to keep them off the field. Just my 2 cents.Except for the int I didn't think he played very good.
