395 total yards is not great but not terrible. Shamburger being out probably cost us 50 yards defensively. We missed Solomon tonight as well. 10 yards rushing the 1st half was yuck, better in the 2nd half. Good team win.

My point being USC felt totally comfortable stacking the box on every play, including a 3rd and 27. With a serviceable QB, you could at least run a draw and catch them off guard.

With JG, everyone in the stadium knew a run was coming. Hell, USC could have put 6 DL and 5LB all in the box and we still would not have felt comfortable letting JG pass the ball.

We should have been up 21 at halftime. Period. He left that many wide open WR on the field. We won this game by pure WILL on the part of an exhausted defense, and an Oline that showed up a little in the 2nd half.

A good coach would not pass there. Gotta keep the clock running. Had nothing to do with JG. JG was not perfect. We won, but he has not improved. You have to keep the clock running at that point in the game.

how did we fall so far as a fan base, that we are acting like a 7 games streak over glorified MAC teams is amazing, or that a lucky win tonight was earned???? THIS IS F***ING TENNESSEE WE EXPECT TO DEMOLISH THESE TEAMS AND COMPETE WITH THE BEST.....we are not doing that..being proud of mediocrity is a insult to the history of UT....

At least the coaches are managing AT.......I noticed a couple of times that he started acting like an ass after making a play and the coaches and players pulled him away.

Don't know what they will do about Banks.

We agree mostly, but USCs set, and our decision to run right into it, without a draw or any threat of a pass, shows no one in the stadium believed JG was going to or could have thrown the ball.

Considering most of our issues on defense were in the secondary tonight, that has nothing to do with Henry. We had a freshman replace Shamburger and coach Boom exploited that with Smith. I do feel like Pruitt/Ansley should've put Taylor on him tho. That, and our DL not only needs work (which Pruitt aluded to) but they got tired out cause our offense didn't help to keep them off the field. Just my 2 cents.
