The Official #16 Tennessee @ South Carolina Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, SEC Network

Start with TOP differences, then go to momentum of short drives, then throw in those drive shorted cuz you dont trust your QB to throw consistently....kinda like being on a basketball team with a 20% ball hog who shoots all the time...your not gonna defend of they dont hold up thier end
142 passer rating and the win. Anything else?

Feel better... Got it off your chest .. I am sure they know they left points out there... But they also did enough to win ... Happened to a few teams ... A&M barely beat Candy by 5

So what?! We didn't do enough to win. We were fortunate the ball bounced our way. It was a matter of hot potato with whoever had the last possession. This team choked away a win. The offense combusted upon itself with penalty after penalty while trying to run out the clock. JG missed throw after throw. Defense was bound to let up given USCjr was going to have 4 downs to get a 1st.

He’s got 7 days to get another QB ready and all things considered that should be enough.
JG had 259yds it looks like.
He's not going anywhere, at least not next week..
Game shouldn't came down to a fluke and some of this was on coaching.

So your grand plan is to throw the ball on 3rd and 27 with the lead and risk an incompletion/int and stop the clock? Short of a miracle, we weren't converting that 3rd down. Run the bawl was the right call.

With JG under center, you absolutely run the ball. Did you not understand my post?

With a serviceable QB, no way USC stacks the box. If they do, burn the hell out of them.

JG limits us to such a basic passing game, the defense doesn’t respect it, and they are able to stack the box.

You run the ball practically 100% of the time. You don't take a chance of stopping the clock. Period.

Since this is a Covid football season, I’d be fine giving plenty of playing time to the other three QBs. We’ve seen the best JG has to offer. I like the kid, I just think he hit his ceiling a long time ago.
I like the kid too.

just wish he was hitting his receivers more than his ceiling.

Not much to say. Jarrett woefully inconsistent. Pass defense was horrendous. But it’s a win. Get better against Missouri and then give it a shot at Georgia. Probably expected a little too much given the practice situation with missing players and cancelled practices.
