Pruitt has changed mentality of the program at Tennessee. How many times have we’ve seen Tennessee lose in that fashion in last ten years. Pruitt has Vols learning to win in tight games.

Agreed. I still believe in Pruitt. If Bailey turns out to be the star that we are expecting we will smoke teams like South Carolina. Literally QB play was the biggest negative from this game. A solid QB would’ve passed for like 400 yards and 4 TDs against this team.

Can't believe JG was still 19/31 would have guessed much worse.
JG is like Holly Warlick. Tries hard, occasionally does some good, but never going to be dominant.

Well while it's fresh. JG is pretty much what he has been for the past couple years. You can't teach speed, and you can't teach accuracy. Done. And because of it we let SC hang around. Defense disappointed, they're better than that, and I think they'll get back to it. Play calling is suspect, regardless of whether or not JG can hit a damn open receivers. They don't ask how much but how many, Vols won.....it's a good thing. What you are is still measured by is the body of work against FL, GA, AL, etc.

Some of the play calls didnt help him out, but he went 19-31 (2) total tds, no turnovers and was only sacked once, actually used his legs.Yes he overthrew his receivers several times but a win is a win is a win

I said it earlier and I'll say it again, I refuse to believe JG is the best we got to start. I know I'm no coach, but I would think that there is a difference between performance in practice and performance during game day. Some people perform better under pressure, I don't think JG is that type of person. Big difference between a practice where they don't want to hurt their players and a game where the other team is out to destroy you. It's unfortunate that we don't have the early non-conference games this year so we could test the waters a bit with our QB's. Give them some valuable reps. I dunno, I probably don't know what's best...but it's just how I feel.

Glad for a season opener win. We put up 31 on SCjr in their house. Should have been more, but we managed to hold on. Hope passing is better next game.

JG has had how many years now? I don't expect to suddenly become accurate. It'd be nice though.
