Hate to say it but reminds me of BYU game last year. Missing too many plays and leaving them in the game

It reminds me of that game, and also of every game we won last year. We leave points on the field and have terrible QB play. We are an improved program from 2017 though.

We have a better QB however, he is not ready. He missed half the spring because of Covid. We already see what only 1 scrimmage does to a team. No way we throw out a Freshman QB with very little knowledge of the playback or practice.

He’ll never play over Guarantano. No way ANY other QB in the history of GOD will ever play over Jarrett Guarantano as long as Jeremy Pruitt is the head coach. Not happening.

One thing about Pruitt, he won't think too long about benching JG. He might get one more drive to spark the offense or I'm guessing Pruitt shakes things up

I'm sorry but I'm not impressed with this oline. They had a couple good series but if the announcers are saying the gamecocks Dline is undersized then why does it seem like they are struggling against them? No excuses

Because the D can cheat the run knowing JG cant hurt them.

JG had a bad end of the half but I don’t think he’s been as bad as some are making it out to be. He’s made good reads, got it out on time, but he has missed some throws. Some of his incompletions are on the receivers as well. On the bright side though. Defense has looked tough! Passing game needs to tighten up, and find a way to get the run going.

JG has Twice as many bad throws or sacks as good plays. We should have 4 scores minimum. SC is in this game only because of JG. This should be a rout at halftime. It’s not.

Our offense will depend on what Guarantano does, or cannot do. He is the weak link on offense. It is what it is. The first half of this game was a perfect synopsis of "What you get with JG at QB."

The O/U is still 5.5 wins. Solid QB play raises that number to 7.5.

We just going to have to execute better. JG is going to have to be more accurate, the OL needs to sustain their blocks better amd we have to capitalize on opportunities like the missed fumble to end the half.

The OL is doing a good job of pass protection. We can’t run because they are stacking the box, because...JG.

This and he has zero rhythm. He just does not have a clock in his head of keeping a beat and throwing the ball. He has 4 seconds, that's it, and he still is taking sacks. Saw a true freshman QB throwing the ball away today when nothing is open. It is rare to see Guarantano use that veteran option.

The longer JG sits in the pocket, the chance of something good happening decreases.

Damn I don’t want to bash JG because in spite of it all I want him to succeed . Not that sc is a reincarnation of the ‘88 49ers either but the TN D looks like it could be pretty damn good this year and even if the O had an adequate game manager they could win 7 or 8 but with what we’ve seen so far 6 wins will be the ceiling
