Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I agree, but she would have had a much better evening if should would have wore it in and pulled it down like the teachers do once she was seated.

I agree she should have put it on and pulled it down or taken it off after the cop walked back down the bleachers. When he came back she could claim shortness of breath or any number of things. She really could have had some fun ****ing with him.

Public schools are .gov.
Same as a dress code for students. I'm sure if a fan came in and took their shirt off they would have been asked to leave as well. The point im trying to make is that school is not a public place for anyone just to come visit at anytime. She played a stupid game and won a stupid prize, and possibly embarrassed the child she was there to watch.

She should have complied however Ohio doesn't require a mask if your outdoors with social distancing
The article I was reading said there were signs at the gate warning masks were required to attend the game. By purchasing a ticket and entering you are agreeing to follow and abide the rules set forth.

I'm against dress codes in schools, courts, or any other .gov facility.

It really does disproportionally affect AAs!

I have no problem with schools banning smoking on the property.
I have no problem with schools requiring clothing on the property.

If I had a problem with these rules, and many other rules, I simply wouldn't go. We all follow these laws often - in numerous places, public or private - whether we realize/like it or not. You don't get to dictate your own laws. Very simple concept.

The quarantine rules are absolutely stupid in Hamilton county. My daughter has a friend that was in a classroom with another child that tested positive. She now has to quarantine for two weeks. Her sister who shares a bedroom with her is allowed to still go to school and participate in sports.

If you vote correctly you do have a say in what laws are passed.

And I do have a problem with all of the above.

That's cool that you have a problem with them. Do you openly defy them?

It really hasn't come up yet. Masks are "required" at ball games here but I doubt 5% of the fans are actually wearing them so I'm just part of the crowd. Call it open defiance if you want but I don't. As a said earlier that chick could have really had some fun if she had half a brain.

Yes, the rules are moronic. My kid has had a handful of kids test positive in their class and the ones that had to qaurantine were the ones the sat in a certain proximity in class. Never mind the fact that when they line up for lunch, recess or whatever they are all standing in close proximity breathing the same air. So my kid was playing with one of the kids that was quarantined with the virus but never had to quarantine because they didn’t sit within 6 feet in the classroom. My kid was definitely exposed. That being said, my child’s friend never had any symptoms whatsoever. The child’s father had mild symptoms (he tested positive) which consisted of headache, loss of smell, and fatigue for a few days. This thing is 100% overblown.

In all honesty she was wrong here. She was arrested and tased because she was tresspassing after given the option to wear a mask or leave. She refused to leave so this is the outcome she deserved.

I'm against masks but if I know somewhere requires them I'm going to wear them or not attend. Pretty simple.
The rules of that park, a public park do not override unalienable rights.
Victimless crime of not wearing a mask around her family. I agree she was stupid as far as being taken into custody, I would have made him state why he was arresting me and complied. I understand her contempt for being assaulted and physically restrained for the crime of breathing clean Air outside and not wearing a mask. She just tacked more charges on.
The true meaning of justice is being left alone.

Yeah, I said she should have complied however she didn't break the law until she resisted arrest

We had a game last night. Masks and social distancing were required. Nobody really cared about the SD, but the staff were mask hawks. Everyone wore a mask. A few people disapproved verbally, but complied. Everyone was happy.
No police were forced to do something they didn't want to do.
No females were tased and dragged out of the stadium.
Other stadium rules were observed - no alcohol, no smoking, no fighting, and many more.
Plus we won.

Exactly we are having the same thing here in Alabama. A girl on my daughters softball team tested positive so the school said my daughter had to quarantine for 2 weeks but my son is still allowed to go to school.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with people who conform to the rules. I simply disagree with them being able to set such rules.

Hospitalizations in NY creeping back up. They were in the low 400s not that long ago, so this is a roughly 25% increase from that post-first wave low point.

And they are all for those adult children in society who don't know how to behave like adults. All rules are written for the few.

I have a problem with how schools and school boards have assumed so much authority over kids lives. A couple years ago a friend of ours kid got into a fight after school, wasn't on school or public property or at a school function but they suspended him and the other boy because they set it up while at school. My view is that if schools are going to assume authority over off campus activities then they should be held liable for anything that happens to a kid from them second they walk out of the door heading to school until they get home.
