2020 Presidential Race

Team Trump (Text VOTE to 88022) (@TeamTrump) Tweeted:
President @realDonaldTrump: Joe Biden wants to ban school choice and charter schools, but "In a second term I will provide school choice to every parent in America." https://t.co/eZnfXIVIs2

And dictate by eo what they must teach. People are just clicking to agree to the terms without reading the fine print

So you are okay with Trump, under threat of Executive Order, forcing a nationalized curriculum for students?
Not necessarily as I think the feds should not be involved in education at all. Just pointing out this little nugget of history and that someone decides a curriculum, as well as addressing another aspect of current liberal outrage. Twofer

How is that relevant to the question of whether or not it is appropriate for Trump to be signing an executive order mandating a "patriotic" curriculum? It seems like you're trying to pull the subject away to an unrelated tangent. This is the type of executive mandate that you typically only see in countries which are under authoritarian rule. It is not unlike the "Hitler Youth".

Sasse +1

Republican lawmakers on Thursday responded to Trump's efforts to portray the election as rigged with their normal mixture of private frustration and public dodging, though most reaffirmed the belief that there would indeed be a peaceful transfer of power.

"The President says crazy stuff. We've always had a peaceful transition of power. It's not going to change," said Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska.
