Bye Bye Louisville

GJ wasn't skeptical.

Interesting case in how once a narrative is set (no knock) that people dismiss evidence to the counter. Apparently there was even a witness quoted in a NYT article awhile back claiming he heard them announce but that got ignored.
Let's say they announced after they knocked the door down. How much gets lost in the fear sensation of having your door busted down unexpectedly? Adrenaline kick drowns out a lot. It could have been avoided by knocking, IMO. I don't like or support no-knock warrants. Truthfully, I think they violate the 4A. Bit again, jmo. I don't think officers should be charged with murder. End of the day, they were following orders, legal orders at that, so I think that factors in to why it's not murder. But there was lots of irresponsibility. I'm all for some of the officers, especially those not using their body-cams, being dismissed. They fubared their responsibilities. But it's still not murder. The ultimate indictment should be on no-knock warrants and the dangers they present. I just don't think the benefit outweighs the risk. They should not be legal.

Turning off your body camera should be a fireable offense.

Always on. Always recording. Always.
Part of the team was an undercover narcotics unit..... they were not allowed to video tape or at least that is the story being told

Famously a college adjunct professor attempted to kill someone with one in... 2016, maybe... and was essentially let off with no penalty, despite it being on video. Leftist judge.
If it was a leftist he was trying to kill 🤔

Wear masks. The place they were busting into did not conceal undercovers. That excuse is weak.

No-knock warrants have relevance for certain situations. I mean if you know you are hitting a drug lab or a known gang member location etc. A no knock makes sense. But if you are hitting a building you have surveilled and you know only two people are there. There is no need for a “no-knock” warrant.

Also, officers need to realize that they are responsible for every round. The reason swat teams are used is because of how well trained they are. The individual cited 3 times was just a detective who was not swat qualified etc.

This is America and people have rights. A no-knock warrant is 100% unconstitutional.

Benefits do not outweigh the risks. I truly feel they violate the 4A. It's too easy to be wrong, and in this case, they were.

As I understand it they announced and knocked.

Drug war is #1 culprit here. Not sure what the rules are on body cam in this particular situation but agree they were doing what they were supposed to do generally. Change the rules but don't fry these guys for following the rules.

may be weak rationale for not using them in these situations but again the solution is to change the rules rather than accuse these specific officers of turning them off so they could do some killing

It was a no knock authorized warrant but independent witnesses confirm police did knock on the door and announce themselves as LO before attempting entry upon which they were fired upon, and one officer hit. LO then returned fire. Ms Taylor was hit in the process in a different room from that which her then BF had fired on the officers. Her prior BF was the target of the search warrant.
Scenario was not as portrayed in the media for months. Her tragic death was not a targeted hate crime.

Here we have someone encouraging domestic terrorism then making their account private after getting called out. Typical brainless BLM lemming.IMG_20200923_225214_853.jpgIMG_20200923_225212_568.jpg

Look forward to Trump declaring Louisville an "Anarchy Jurisdiction" and Kentucky a "Blue State" tomorrow!

And the other part of the team? The presumably uniformed officers that were serving the warrant?

Didn't say they did, but it's a violation, or should be, to not have your body-cam on. This situation should highlight why, and makes a perfect example to other officers what happens if you don't follow regulations. I have zero problem with them losing their jobs over it. It's not a difficult request that they keep those cams on.
