For a 70 player roster limit here would be my guess:

10 OL
4 TE
3 QB
4 RB
8 WR
10 DL
12 LBs
6 Safeties
8 Corners
3 Kickers
2 LS

That's 70 players, so those 2 and 3 deep have to be very good on special teams. I wouldn't rule out taking 4 Qbs and one less corner or LB.

Haven't we as fans been wanting to believe in him for the last three years? Yet, at seasons end the joke was always on us. I don't know I am not going to believe in him any longer. He puts things together this season then great; if not, it is to be expected. I am really impartial at this point.
You mean the 6-0 at seasons end winning streak?

So he is going to play every player that travels. That to me sounds like the QB 1,2,3...... is not fully determined yet
He calling for a blowout where you clear the benches. It’s a free year of eligibility. Letting them all play is a great game plan. Go in with the plan of running it up and then go run it up. I might need to go change my bold prediction.

You could also see a flood of bad injuries like the NFL is seeing due to lack to preparation time and poor conditioning.
Not just at Tennessee but all across the SEC.
This is going to be the wildest season maybe of all time. You're going to see things you've never seen. Some good, some very very bad.
You can see how that can be a disadvantage for any team. For instance player A has better athletic ability than player B but has missed a lot of practice due to covid. Player B in such a case would be less prone to injury. Gonna be some tough coaching decisions to be made especially in the early season games. I think this may apply to Wanya Morris as I've heard Johnson will be getting a lot more early season reps. Never really know with Pruitt because he's so tight-lipped about things of that nature.

I hope Pruitt understands that he better have his team prepared this opening game, seems like the last two he did not have them ready.....
Hold on, I'll write him a note. You know, just in case he doesn't know.

"Jeremy -- have team ready. JP"

Okay, that should do it. We'll be alright now.

I was being facetious...here's a definition for you, but I suspect you pray at the altar of facetiousness as well

Definition of facetious

1: joking or jesting
2: meant to be humorous or funny : not serious, a facetious remark

If things go according to plan then vanilla will be the flavor of the day. Save our special plays for tougher teams.

I think we can all agree that "Vanilla" against an SEC team, especially given our recent history, is not a strategy the coaches would consider. I believe it has more to do with limited practices and installing as much of the Offense and Defense as possible without overloading the players. It is better to execute the basics well than more advanced schemes poorly. I would also think they have been installing specifics for USCjr over the last few weeks.

Starting with a W on the road would be a massive win for this team and, selfishly, us.

Go Vols!!!!!!

Got any links to YouTube videos that’ll show you how to do it right? 😏

hmm...cool that you referenced the season's end winning streak but how come no mention of the loss to GA State and BYU?
hmm......not cool that you stated, "at seasons end the joke was always on us." I proved otherwise, and you change the argument. JG didn't cost us the games against GA State or BYU regardless of what you or others claim. We scored plenty of points to win the GA State game so blame the defense. Also, the BYU game was in the bag until a boneheaded busted coverage by the defense. You probably blame JG for the pandemic as well.

I'm sorry but in what world does a REDSHIRT JR QB, leader of out team and offense...

GA 2nd Half
9/15 118 1 int 3 sacks taken on last 3 drives... 52 of those yard came in 1 play
4 of those completions 6 yards and under
2 FGS
ok...rough game but 2 FGs and 118 yards...GEORGIA STATE!!!!!!

then we go to
BYU 2nd half

4-9 32 1 int 27 of those yard came on last drive...where we got a FG
2 of those completion were for 3 and 2...yards...

How is that an acceptable?

Sure, he could/should have played better, and you can play the blame game all you want, but the defense has to do its part as well.

rhe defense was on the field 2/3rds of the 2nd half...they are gonna get gassed......the defense made several stops after 3 and 4 play drives...

I thought that too. I don't see all 70 playing unless we are beating the brakes off of them and backups start going in during trash time. I could be wrong though. He may be looking at this season in terms of the long run and may see it as an opportunity to get a ton of players game experience in a year that nobody loses eligibility. Smart play if that's his goal, but fans won't like it if we drop games because of it.

Wonder if he meant throughout the year?

Are you suggesting that our defense played up to, or above, expectations against the powerhouses that are GA State and BYU? BTW, against GA State our D gave up an 81 yard drive for a TD just before halftime and a 75 yard drive for a TD to start the 2nd half. That explains them getting "gassed" more than anything else. Plus, GSU rushed for over 200 yards while we were held under 100. Was that JG's fault as well?

If I'm not mistaken our first two games we didn't have Bryce or Bituli and Henry T had zero college, let alone SEC experience was QB of the Defense. I also don't think we had Trey Smith the 1st two games, definitely didn't start.

Still no excuse to lose to Georgia State or blow a good lead against BYU.

All of these things are great points toward proving that the D owns part, if not a lot, of the blame for these losses. JG haters put them all on him when there is plenty of blame to go around. It's kind of like blaming the pitcher for a loss in a 1-0 game when the bats disappear.

I have never understood the travel roster limit. It always seems like a disadvantage for away teams. You have to travel to play your opponent, oh and we’re going to make you play with 10 less players now top of that too. That’s one rule I wish would get fixed.

Every healthy person, scout team included should travel this rough year at least.

Not all of the game was JGs fault..50% was on the coach, 30 on JG and the offense and 20 on the D....keep in mind the defense gave up 38 to a team that averaged 30 ppg but our offense only score 23 (garbage end of game td shouldnt factor in) to a Ga st D that gave up am avg of 36ppg....

BYU. Defense played much better. In regulation thr defense held them to 16 when they end up at 27 ppg and the offense only scored 16 against BYU defense tha gave up 27 ppg....in that Game. 50% on coach, 40 on offense, and 10 on defense...

You had an offense with a RSJR QB, 2 SR WR, SR TE, the oline with experience..
