USCe poster spent about 20 hours on this to convince their board they are as big as us overall. Not sure of its legitimacy because I don't care. Size is good, but talented size is needed and I don't think they have it on our level.

Tennessee vs South Carolina Size vs Size
General size doesn't mean much honestly. Just looking at average height/weight of players is pretty useless

So I have been tough on JG, but I can honestly see him having a performance this weekend like he did when we beat Auburn. Go ahead flame away

This should be a game he just needs to manage the team into good spots and protect the ball and we win. He won’t need auburn type numbers for us to win imo

I like how the minute the “depth chart” drops this place goes into a panic like everyone’s got ants in their pants. Austin literally said it’s window dressing. Y’all know he plays golf all the time with coach and y’all know he knows what to say and when to say it. Calm yer teats.

Wow. Chaney basically states that part of JG's problem has been that he didn't know the progression of routes on pass plays and where to look to properly read the defense...as a redshirt Junior. That instills a lot of confidence.
I mean, if the person teaching you everything changed every single year to where you can’t get a grasp on anything didn’t cause you to fail to know progressions, I mean 🤷🏻‍♂️ What do y’all expect?

I’m not defending JG by any means but last year they changed the offense to a bunch of Choice routes where reads and everything are a big deal and that stuff takes time and practice to get used to

Yep. That’s why Jim is great. He understands how to get the most out of what he’s got available to him

I thought Shuler had a good arm but the NFL is another level. The report about his arm strength was either a draft combine report or one or more team evaluations and reported in ESPN or USA Today. They were my sources of sports news back then.

Schuler had an F'ing cannon and wheels. He was similar to Steve Young but bigger, with a stronger arm, worse decision making and a much worse team around him.

He would dominate in college today.

When CJP showed up he said we didn't even know how to practice 🤣 (sad crying laugh). I'm sure Chaney felt the same way when arriving to the QB room. Had to start from scratch. Hopefully we see all the QBs step it up across the board now with the proper training.

Folks - progression reads are like QB class 101. Even HS QB's are taught them. Chaney uses a progression read scheme with option routes that is not uncommon. A 5th year senior who cannot do it well is not the right guy to be playing the position in P-5 football. So JG needs to get it done. Tyler Bray got it and Chaney was running some of it with him. So should JG.

I sincerely hope they do not dumb down the O for any QB again like they did last year. Make them run it right or sit them no matter who it is.

AP/Hubbs were asked which other position besides OL and DB is one of our strongest heading into the season and they said RBs. Not too shocking, but there it is. Ground game gonna break some faces.
I like it. Shorten the game. Make them bring a extra man in the box to stop the run the this helps JG with the passing game. A win win.

why not take the approach that this is JGs first ever back to back years with an OC and it’s entirely possible that he becomes a much more consistent performer??

oh and it’s a good OC that we darn sure should trust knows who he should play at qb

Easy killer.not disputing that because it is a fair approach

Hate it for the kid. Did a little work with him and his other teammate from high school (who plays for Duke now) with their Head Coach, who now coaches down in Columbia. Kid is tough and just grinds. Kind of glad he won’t be available for our game because he gets over looked and surprises people.
