All you’ve gotta do is mention JG and you may as well have dropped a grenade in the thread & ran. I’ve never seen so much infighting over a player in my whole life. Haha.
Well...it's not our fault he is so polarizing. He has been horrid to this point, and there is very little reason to think he will be any better. There is a very good chance his play will be the difference in a good season and another nut smasher season.

If anyone's interested in going to the game this weekend, USCe just put face value tickets for this weeks game for sale. Mostly in upper deck and you will probably have to buy 4 tickets. I saw 3 groups left in the lower deck, and also there were I think 4 pairs of tickets in the upper deck if you only wanted 2 tickets.

Shuler had a cannon and was a great overall athlete, what he didn't have was the mental ability to be a NFL QB.

He would have been a Heisman winner in a different era and in a different system...like what Urbs did with Tebow. He was a much better passer than Tebow, and just as strong and agile.
He was no where close to the playmaker Tebow was as a runner. How many Td’s did Tebow run for that one year?

He does make it hard on himself being such a head case. My mind changed about him somewhat after him getting a little emotional after talking about how much this place means to him. I appreciate the kid and hope the best for him. If he starts to suck it up, then he needs to get yanked.

He was not in a spread or option offense either. Put him in an Urban Meyer O and it would have been something to see. Incredible athlete.

He didn't play in a system or in an era where the QB run was a big part of any offense.

He was 6'3", 225 with no body fat and a legit 4.5 sprinter. He was very good running the ball and had potential as a running back if he had not played QB. Tebow was bigger but Heath was built for the spread option... before the spread option was a thing.

Shulers arm strength was over-hyped. ESPN reported that Shuler hit a goal post from the 50 yard line On one knee but the NFL draft report was that he had less than average arm strength. I was following this at the time and was surprised by the draft analysis because I thought Shuler had super human arm strength at the time. Regardless of Shulers speed and strength , Dobbs was a better athlete and more elusive running the ball. Both had similar last year QBR ratings at UT. In fact they both had better QBR ratings their last year than Manning had in any year at UT which I found surprising.
Dude... if that's true then don't believe the reports.

You are simply wrong about their athleticism and that's no knock on Dobbs at all.

"JG is awesome."
"No, JG sucks."
"I said he is AWESOM!"
And I say he SUCKS!!!"

You have the scope of the argument down pat, but to be accurate you need to repeat it about 15 times.
