Clemson's OC is very good at setting up plays, particularly those runs for Lawrence. He also held on to the final drive, the play Lawrence faked the run and pulled up to hit Etienne to win the playoff with Ohio St.

That's on those people 🤣 I don't believe Collin Hill would be starting at UT or finish in the top half of the SEC, but people can put him on a pedal stool if they like.

After watching the Gator Bowl replay again I can see a push argument being made, but no way Hill is better than what we will do at QB. The push argument would be any given game JG has proven he can fall apart.

Just because a writer works for SI doest make him immune to reasons for misreporting.. I remember that report as well, and was diametrically opposed to everything else I've heard about Shuler. I also read many glowing reports about Matt Leinert's talent, but when I finally got a chance to watch one of his games, he seemed to float every single one of his throws. That'll do for comparing major QB busts.

I think our potential at QB is greater but I think they have the advantage at QB before seeing how either plays game one. I think Hilinski is better than JG and this kid took his job so I gave the edge to them. JMO...

Which goes to show, a QBR rating is a bunch of bullsh!t. Not surprising, but bullsh!t.

I love Josh Dobbs, and Heath Shuler is in my top 5 Vols of all time, as far as my favorite players; but, any type of metric, rating, opinion, whatever that puts either one ahead of Manning is...all together now...bullsh!t.

I agree. I’m not sure how the Qbr is calculated but I think it is not weighted to neutralize the increase in passing attempts and yards in today’s game vs the game in prior decades.

Objectively looking at his career in hindsight. Dobbs brought more value to his team’s success than Shuler did to the UT’s teams in his era. Dobb’s play masked the roster deficiencies for the Volunteer’s that became obvious after he graduated.

They are planning on playing.
There was a time that a few kids were not really on board with playing this season and the locker room needed some “help” but all appears to be normal and positive right now.

Lol. He was a true freshmen who played injured. Keep loving JG who brought us our worst season in the history of our program and looked like garbage our last few games. I can throw five yard passes all game too and have a nice QBR.

He stunk and now lost to a MWC QB. Just the facts. Maybe he finishes better, but he was nowhere near JG's level last year and no reason to think he is now.

JG has had one of the higher ADOTs in the league the past couple years. Throwing 5 yard passes is a weird myth that has persisted nonetheless from the legion.

Don't love, but I support him.
