Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

No, you’re just prioritizing financial well-being over physical well-being. I think you should check out Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
Sorry I am not a millionaire that can afford to not work for 6 plus months while the government keeps taxing me.

You might want to look into the link between financial well being and physical well being. Unsprinsingly those financially well off tend to do better than those who arent in the health category. So you have a self defeating requirement.

Yep we are up to 50 people now and every single person in the building is masked up

I was at a youth sporting event this past weekend. These people were corona bro to the core. My son walked up without a mask, you had to wear a mask to get in, and they guy said no problem and stuck his hand all over a mask and handed it to my son.

Idiots. That was just one incident of many all weekend that makes you realize how much stupidity is in this world.

Indeed. See correlation between wealth of individual nations and their life expectancy.

But yea, shutting economy down is not a big deal.

Technically, we are calling it Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C), now. It does share many features with KD, but there are differences, as well. Very uncommon (<<1% of CV+ children), overall mortality around 1%, and I do not believe there has been a confirmed case in our area, yet. Treatment is similar to KD: IV immunoglobulin, aspirin, occ steroids, antiviral if still PCR+, but it is usually regarded as a "post-infectious" process.

Is there anything in particular you'd like to know about?
Inflammatory markers and liver panels is what I'd be interested in seeing.

Did you tell him that mask ear loop is going to look really funny hanging out his buttocks?

I understand the correlation. I also understand prioritizing financial well-being with the risk this pandemic poses to our population en masse. The problem is nobody wants to balance the two. It’s either “open up” or “it’s my right to choose” instead of having legit conversations about best practices for both.

My son and I just laughed.

It is typical liberal nonsense. Who cares if you're actually improving anything, the important thing is to believe you are improving things.
It's not improving the human condition, that's for sure. People are moving farther and farther away from logic and into falsehoods and just blatant stupidity. It's disturbing.

Why is it hard for you to understand that the best practice from the beginning was to give the people the information and let them decide how to protect themselves and their families?

That’s a hypothetical. 200,000 deaths from the virus isn’t.

You understand that it's estimated that close to 7 million died of starvation and malnutrition during the great depression? That is over 1 million per year and you basically want us to shut ourselves down and cause another depression.

The sweden method of open it up was a balance. The at risk were locked away in their own quarantine bubble. Everyone else allowed to go about freely.

That still hurts the economy, but minimizes. There are still "normal" people who get sick and die, but you minimize that number.

It goes back to something that's been said for a while. If the mask works why social distance? If social distancing works why shut down businesses? If small businesses with few patrons are a threat why arent large businesses with many patrons a threat?

Because it has been an all in approach by the bros. Any discussion of any thing being open at all, even outdoor parks, was stabbing Micks grandmother like a Jason vorghee victim.

You said the Brits had predators, abrams, and something else modern and particularly american whirlee bird. While the colonials had m16s.

Tongue in cheek a bit because I know what you are trying to say with the m16, butt....i wouldnt say no to some ww2 era AA in that fight. Quad deuces would take care of the whirlee birds just fine, maybe the predators I dont think those go too fast. And seeing how they weren't designed to take on tanks or the other way around it's not an issue.

It's not a true comparison to say the brits would have been fighting americans with american weapons. And in this case you have limited the American civilian to a weapon they cant own. And no the AR is not comparable to a military grade weapon.

Are you saying that’s what COVID mitigation measures are doing/would do? If so, you’ll have to prove it.

Surely it’s easy to understand that masks, social distancing and closures aren’t singular stopgaps or absolute solutions in themselves but cumulative mitigation (not preventative) measures.

The effectiveness and practicality of each deserve their own discussion.

Taking it way too seriously here brother.

If the lock downs had been nationwide, yeah that is where we would be. How long can the average person go without a paycheck and still feed/house themselves?
