The Atlanta Braves

Lol his swing is conducive to hitting IN HIS 40's

I don’t think he will fall off a cliff. But other guys have that were better than him had pretty harsh declines. It happens to everyone. I mean loot at Votto. I thought he’d be a guy who would be good in his early 40’s.

Freeman’s swing isn’t Votto’s. His short easy swing and ability to stay within himself is his greatest asset. He will hit forever. He is special.

He also hasn’t had a bunch of monster years in his 20s to build counting stats. He’ll need 3-4 more big seasons and then turn into post age 35 Eddie Murray.

DH will help, but he’s gonna need at least 400 homers and 1500 RBI’s (I’m not a huge counting stats guy but just for precedent). Hall of Fame also usually is harsher for first basemen
