The Atlanta Braves

What if Milone starting is what unlocks the offense? Does that make it a fair trade off? He sucks and can’t even pitch well enough/long enough to get the win, but we score 20 runs a game so it doesn’t matter.

Dale Murphy hall of very good

Dansby Swanson HOF

Amed Rosario hall of mets bench
Murphy is the guy that everybody that grew up in the 80s knows is a borderline at best case but hopes that he lucks out. If the guy had had any protection in the lineup whatsoever in the mid to late 80s or if his career had a softer landing he'd be a shoo in. It's criminal who they surrounded him with after about 1985.

Y’all wild. Unless he did something really really friendly right now, he’d shouldn’t be at the table if he is trying to maximize his earnings.

I agree. Let’s be honest, he ain’t Ozzie or Acuna in any way, he has the luxury of not being from poverty. It’s not a pressing issue so to speak.

I don’t even know how you’d determine his worth. He can go either way just as easy.

Good rule about yea or nay for HOF inclusion is that if you have to strongly argue that a player should be in, then they probably aren't deserving. HOF inclusion should be an obvious, no-brainer decision. It's like deciding to propose to your wife. If you're only kind of sure, then you probably shouldn't do it.

I think Andruw is in if he either 1) was a better hitter for average during his peak years or 2) didn't fall off a cliff after age 30. He needed to be more of a superstar in his 20s or either keep up the performance into his mid/late 30s.

That’s fine, but ozzie smith is in the hall of fame and ender inciarte is a better offensive player

I think it’s pretty clear what he is when he’s healthy.

Playing too long, or falling off a cliff “too soon” shouldn’t be held against you as a HOF criterion. He was THE BEST center fielder in the game for a decade and it’s not like he was some all-glove, offensive liability. Maybe the Three Aces don’t make the HOF without him patrolling CF for so much of their careers.
