More than likely, if it is a relatively new car, the compressor clutch assembly is controlled by high and low pressure switches and compressor oil level, through a fuse. If it senses an overcharge or undercharge of refrigerant, or a low oil level in the compressor, the clutch won't engage. Also, the fuse could be bad.
Big Thanks!
Took it to coop and they refilled my system a little bit ago. Works perfectly! I would have been stuck like chuck without your wisdom.

Connecting rods and pistons assembled. Time to gap the rings. This is one of wiseco's domed piston for LS engines. Should have some decent compression.

Looks like a fun project. I haven't built an engine since high school and that was an old Ford 351 Cleveland big block in a buddys Mustang. We didn't have a clue what were were doing but learned along the way and it ran like a champ when we were done.

I used Wiseco forged pistons and Molnar forged rods in my recent AMC 360 build. I do have a stock LS engine in my 2000 FRC Corvette.

Have any issues with them after install and test run?

Yep, that LS1 changed everything in regards to GM performance. 23 years since it's introduction and probably the most popular engine for power adders, NA rebuilds and resto-mods.

It's been interesting and always learning something new. Still needing to find a car to eventually put this into.

I'm thinking an LS engine will fit in every GM car and truck built in the last 50 years so your choices are wide open. Personally I'd find a first gen Camaro or C-10 pickup from 68 to about 80.

I’d vote for an early first gen Camaro too. Perfect setup for that beast. Put the AOD version of the Turbo 400 behind it and make a street sleeper. And find a pair of those RS hideaway headlights I always thought they looked good. Paint it lacquer black and put some all chrome Torque Thrust D’s on it. I’m kinda partial to that look, that is my ragtop Cobra setup not lacquer black but black paint, top, and interior with a SN95 offset specific set of Torque Thrust D knockoffs. I love the look my Cobra but I’m a tad biased 😎C452864C-AD71-4CFC-91DA-6F46C86B547C.jpeg

Nice Mustang! I don't see any burnout marks on the exposed aggregate driveway? Live dangerously.

Yep. Everything bolts right up. Same bell housing except for 1 bolt not used on passenger side. You can go online and practically find anything from wiring harness, motor mount adapters and electronics for LS swaps. I've even seen some people are wising up installing LS swaps in mustangs. ;)

I wish I was more mechanically inclined

To easy your conscience. When you are laying under a car putting in a clutch for the third time (not the same car), you realize it's not nearly as much fun or as interesting as the first time. And when you are laying under an older Accord trying to get the transmission back in after changing the clutch, you, Poe, and the raven become one ... Nevermore.

Now that last part is out and out incest or worse - never the twain shall meet.

Having my gallbladder removed at UT med center tomorrow morning. Been having persistent indigestion and the doctors say it's the cause. A lifetime of pasta has and stir fry has caught up with me. Probably won't be on here for a few days. I know I will be desperately missed. Try to make it by... somehow.
