Bunch of young pitchers. To get an Ian Anderson you have to put them in some situations. I’m not a Snitker apologist, but the truth’s somewhere in the middle. You don’t win division titles with “the worst manager in baseball”

I never understood what he was trying to accomplish, pissing off his neighbors by trashing up his yard (and being sued and dragged into court all the time), and continually running for mayor when he never could muster much support other than from younger non-conformists.

I don't think he was a pyscho, but I don't think it was all just an act either.

I had just turned the game on, and I could only take it for about one minute. Thank God UFC was on. I switched over and did t have to hear politics

Well said

When the starting rotation can’t get to the 5 inning time after time it makes bullpen decisions much much more difficult than the public think.

rest becomes much more difficult to Manage

How often can you get away with getting those guys hot and not bringing them into the game.

Enlarged playoff grouping allows mangers to maximize the importance of taking care of leads and lessons the consequences of a loss the next games.

Must have bullpen rested for post season



The facts are the braves are winning plenty enough with massive injury issues and Snit shouldn’t manage every game like the seasons success depends on it like I see many fans act

Imo when we know exactly what the long term effects of having the virus are. If we knew it’s not a big deal long term then I agree with you but we don’t yet from what I can tell

Dunno why they are contact trace quarantining for 14 days. You can test roughly after 5 days, the safe bet is 7 Days and test and you would save your guys 7 extra days.

This is the rule set my work follows and we haven’t had issues with Covid period and we travel etc all over the place and work in close proximity of each other.

Heard it mentioned the 14 days is set by Knox county.

I thought it was changed to 10 days by the cdc but my understanding is that many counties are different

I was thinking this as well. I would think a test after 7 days is pretty safe.

It’s a stupid rule if you have the funds and ability to test those who are quarantining. The Knox County rule seems like a rule for individuals who wouldn’t be tested.

The virus takes roughly 5 days to set in, however, 7 days is safer. So quarantine your guys for 7 days and then test them at the 7 day mark. If they are negative they come back.

It is pretty simple and with UT testing so much it makes sense. I agree with a 14 day quarantine if no testing is being done, but that isn’t the case here.

I don't think this is special to basketball. The best players now will beat the best players from 20 years ago in any sport. There's just been too much progress in conditioning, specialized skills training, nutrition, and the sheer fact that modern players use the previous generations to build their skill levels. Any decreased physicality from games modernizing, whether for safety concerns or to favor scoring, isn't enough to negate all the other advancements that the last 20 years have blessed us with.

Agree with everything. I think it's fine to bring attention to the athletes' protests because their goal is to raise awareness and evoke significant change. I agree it's very frustrating when the annoucers try to out woken each other.
