American war dead are "Losers and Suckers," per Trump

I would like to say that I’m amazed at the amount of belief the story is getting without sources coming out of the shadows to be on record but I’m not . BB you would not be this invested if it was Obama and the same shadow sources wouldn’t come forward , you , Luther , and Mick would be screeching about Right wing propaganda machine and hit pieces here at election time . br hunt , Ktown , and Tyler would be screaming racism and Fox News because he’s black and EL would be digging furiously on twits-r-us to disprove ever single story that ever come out by any conservative reporter as misleading . None of you would settle for anything less than him getting caught on a hot Mic saying it word for word and even then you would play it off as some kind of master plan to save France from Russia . The really crazy part about this is .. we all know it’s true , all of us . Until we have people willing to step forward and say I was there when he said it , it’s just going to be a hit piece at election time . Joes team knows his time in the fish barrel is coming up also .
You might be right. However, Obama and Trump are not the same people. There is a certain credibility that these accusations carry just because they involve someone who we already know to be a terrible person. Donald Trump is an egotistical, self-absorbed, dishonest, narcissist who has been highly disrespectful to public institutions in his time as president. Trump is immoral and he doesn't respect norms or other people's feelings. Trump lacks empathy. He is often crass and vulgar. A good portion of his own supporters can acknowledge that he is not a good person... you just don't want to believe that he is this bad, because you plan to vote for him. That is where we are different. I can say that he is this bad a person, because I'm not voting for him.

Just think about it... Donald Trump really is capable of saying those things and believing them.

He is a very capable man.

I’m sorry to inform you, your TDS is now stage 4. I’m not sure you can endure four more years
Is that post you replied to inaccurate? Donald Trump lied. Yesterday, he said that he had never called John McCain a "loser". There is plenty of evidence to the contrary, both in a tweet from 2015 and two separate videos where he did that very thing. What would that have to do with what you call "TDS" ?

It's probably because you are still obsessed with it 4 years after the fact.

Jennifer Griffin has said she verified the information reported in The Atlantic with two sources. She just didn't name them. Sources don't have to be named, for their information to be verified.
The same anonymous people telling multiple reporters the same story doesn’t make it verified. In math terms is the equivalent of 0+0

The only difference (if we are being honest ) is demanding facts vs what or how we feel . The neutral position would be to demand facts , anything on either side of that is emotion and deciding truth based on how we feel toward either person .

It doesn't make what the sources said accurate ... but it does mean that Jennifer Griffin was able to confirm that there are two sources, who both she and Jeffrey Goldberg described as "Former Senior White House Officials in the Trump Administration", who are saying that Donald Trump disparaged Vietnam veterans and military service in general.

Two unnamed sources who are telling multiple people about something so terrible that they sat on it for 2 years before telling the Atlantic = 0 * 2^2

These people are legitimate sociopaths.

His brother was backpacking w a buddy when they were caught. What kind of sicko would try and misconstrue his own brothers death just to make a political point.

What nut would be hiking in Laos in 1974 ? I mean really , who would do that ?

Agreed. The more you like a person, the less likely you are to believe that they have committed an act of wrongdoing. In turn, you will require more evidence to convince you of their guilt. That is just human nature. However, when it comes to politics and particularly a man like Trump, you like him not because you consider him to be a man of integrity and strong moral fiber, but because you agree with his politics. You aren't defending him because you don't think he would have done something like this. You are defending him because you want him to win an election in 8 weeks.

Jennifer Griffin said "My sources are unimpeachable," in a response to a Trump Twitter attack earlier today. That probably means that her sources are respected career military men. I have to think that John Kelly is one of them. It will come down to what you want to believe... it always does in politics.

So being a dipshit is a Dean family trait. Let's go backpacking in Laos, sounds like a really good idea. Anyone want to take a trip to the beach in say oh, Beirut? Moron.

I try really hard , especially at election time , to start out at a neutral position and wait for the facts to come out . Right now everybody will lie , cheat , steal , pander and misrepresent the truth for a single vote . There’s not a politician , a staff member , a congressman or an organization that won’t do one of those things to try to get ahead in the polls .

I have a older person in my extended family who sends those ridiculous conservative emails that end up being forwarded around. And I’m talking about the kind that sound outrageous and can be debunked with a minute or two of effort. As such, I don’t believe anything this person tells me. His judgment is obviously terrible.

There is a surprisingly large number of people who post here that have been burned many times with these “bombshells” that have been corroborated by unnamed sources that turn out to be completely false. Yet they still run with the bait. It’s fascinating.
