Memphis had Prince Mongo, who ran for both county and city mayorships from the late 70s until who knows. I haven't lived there since 2010 but I believe he may still be running. Claimed he was from the planet Zambodia, and one of his early campaign platforms was Christmas Everyday.

1. “When elected, I will get rid of all pit bulls and the city council.

Taxes will be optional.”

2. “My education policy is simple: Don’t fool around with the ladies. You’ll lose respect.”

3. “As for industry, it will come in droves, lured from all over the world and Bulgaria. It would have been here sooner if I’d told ‘em to come.”

I met Prince Mongo once, while out of character. He was scouting land sites in North Mississippi. He’s highly intellectual. I know he loves his Prince mongo alter ego.

Just when I think I’m out, I get reeled back in.

Just listened to his interview. God bless JG. Young man bleeds orange and I deeply appreciate that. Really hoping beyond hope he has a redemption season.
Yes, and nice to feel like we have 3 that could step in if he doesn't. But really hoping he does.

ESPN has a history of screwing longtime employees. Bill Simmons kind of earned it, but Dan Patrick and Bruce Feldman have talked about how ESPN not only cut them loose without much reason, but also then interfered with their career after.
How did they interfer?
