That's backwards there shouldn't have been a story until someone went public.. remember The Atlantic owner is a heavy Biden donor

Of course he said it, none of this is out of character for Trump. Trump's been insulting veterans and military personnel for years. John McCain, The Khan family, Alexander Vindman, La David Johnson. This article is no different.

If that was the case, then Watergate wouldn't have been a story until June of 2007, which was 13 years after Nixon died. That was when Mark Felt (Deep Throat) finally went on the public record.

Not over anything significant. About something this inflammatory? I think he might not want his name attached to it. He makes sense to me as a source. However, if he denies hearing it? Then just speaking for myself, I wouldn't pay attention to this anymore. I first want to read a denial from Kelly, though.

So General Kelly is the only one that will convince you that it didn’t happen because he is the one that you believe and is honest ? He has to say it didn’t happen for it not to have happened ?

I’ve explained my stance. Not much more that I can do. I completely can’t fathom why citizens think they need to be dependent on the government for healthcare or count of them as your primary first protector for you and your family. But if you feel that way fine. That’s you option. I just don’t agree but I’m not going to work to coerce a justification I don’t think you owe me one.

It's just a guess, but I think he was a source for this story. That's why I want to read a denial from him. Kelly had a son die in a war. He is not going to sit still and listen to the President say something like this. I certainly find him more credible than Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Dan Scavino. Sanders was caught in several lies as White House Press Secretary. Good lord.

So was Kelly and he admitted to lying the whole time . There’s articles about Kelly trying to get others to lie . They will all lie when they want to push an agenda , is what I’m saying . I think Kelly is a good man , do I trust him or any of them not to lie to me .. NOPE . Especially right here at election time , I expect all politician and their worker bees to actually increase the lies .

Deepthroat provide documents and told Woodward and Bernstein who to talk to and where to look. They didn't publish until they could back up what their anonymous source told them.

Nice try though.

You know it only takes about 15 minutes to make an ad like that and email or text to any or every ad distributers on the planet. A junior high school kid can do it. Get out of your mom's basement for awhile.

Oh and on the difficult customer fee I’ve got my own little anecdotal story. We built our current house six years ago now. Turns out our builder was a crook. So I had to get a lawyer involved to settle liens and contractor debts.

The first instruction he was given was I’m paying him to not let me make a dumb emotional decisions that was gonna cost me money. He played that rule back on me I think twice in the process of clearing our title. In settling with a couple of sub contractors who actually did a decent job of perfecting a lien he told me to pay them. I pointed out I’d already paid them once via the builder and got emotional. He played my rule back on me and said irrelevant I was going to do it again. This is a business transaction and that was the lowest cost option. I bitched... and followed his legal counsel.

My impression of the man is that he doesn't tolerate fools very well and if Trump had said something like that to him in 2018 he wouldn't have continued working for him until 2019.

Mark Felt was not their only anonymous source. In fact, all of their sources were anonymous in the first year of that entire investigation and reporting except for one brave soul. The only person who would go on record about the Watergate break-in and it's possible ties to the White House was a man named Hugh Sloan. He was treasurer of the Committee to Re-elect the President and had served as an aid to Bob Haldeman. People like John Dean cooperated later, but that was to save their own skins.
