Georgia loses starting QB for 2020

Before we get too excited, UGA has the better defense, better backs, better receivers, better coaching and JT Daniels is better than JG. Plus, they get us in Athens. Our best chance is UGA will choke a game. Might as well be against us.

UGA plays Auburn the week before UT. They might be a little beat up. We've beaten them in Athens several times before with less talent.

LOL, slow down Joe. They may have a better defense, but our's isn't chopped liver. Not sure if you mean DB's or RB's, but both are very debatable as to who is better. They don't have better receivers. Better coaching? Don't think so. It may be one those 20-17 scores where one big play wins it.

After 2 years, one coach is 13-12 and lost to GSU. The other made it to the National Title game. While there is no doubt CJP inherited a far worse situation, he didn't inherit a situation that should cause a 2-10 GSU team to whip our a-s on the field.

I don't think Captain Flow-be is a great coach but he's done a better job to date.
Have you seen the starting QB?

You guys are fast. I just came over to post this.

Would Georgia fans accept Justin Fields back? Before you call me crazy he was seen at the UGA scrimmage this past Saturday: Justin Fields watched Georgia’s Saturday scrimmage from the stands. With Ohio State currently not playing Fields may want to go back. Ask me how pissed I will be if the NCAA approves that transfer while Cade Mays sits in the wings.

That would definitely suck but I don’t think we have anything to worry about on that front. He probably knows that it would be a bad look to return to the school that you left because of race issues plus he doesn’t need to play this year to be a first round pick. I’m gonna assume (and hope) that his visit to UGA was him wanting to hang out with some of his buddies that are on the team.

Our defense is good to very good. There's is a notch above ours. They may have the best defense in the country.

They have multiple 5* RB. We have 1 guy that may be a difference maker and a bunch of JAGs (Just Another Guy)

At this moment, Pickens is a far better receiver than anyone we have (one of the freshman might change that). We may have more depth but they have the stud.

If you ask impartial observers who has the better coach, they aren't saying Pruitt. It's a results driven business. Smart has taken a good situation and took them to the next level. An impartial observer will realize that Pruitt inherited a mess; however, they will realize that Butch inherited a similar mess and Pruitt and Jones have had similar results the first 2 years.

UGA is going to choke a game. It's like death and taxes. I think we are in a good spot for it to be us.

We haven't won a game in Athens in the last 30 years with this much of a talent dispartity.

Georgia State went 7-6 last season.

Yeah from what I read, Newman was clearly better in practice, obviously they hadn't declared him the starter, but that was to keep both engaged. Daniels isn't fully cleared to play according to Smart. He can practice though, so it probably isn't a huge deal. Blaylock is out for the year, he was probably their second best behind Pickens, possibly third behind Demetris Robertson. Obviously switching offenses during this offseason is not ideal. I'll say this is probably the worst their running backs have been in quite some time. Still a solid group, but they don't have star power like Michel, Chubb, Swift, etc. Wide receiver outside of Pickens and Robertson seems to be not great either. All this is in addition to losing 4 starters on the offensive line.

I don't see how any of that could lead them to a better output for their offense this year. Not saying they won't be good, but I don't think the offense is going to be a strength.

Kirby playing the long game here he knew JT Daniels was gonna be the guy since they got him eligible to play this season. Georgia still will be the strong favorites to win the East again and possibly SEC this season. They got a stacked defense returning too.

Reverse the roles and everybody would be saying how bad of a coach Kirby is.

Pruitt actually had to rebuild the roster to an SEC level.

Pruitt had more than enough talent not to get wiped off the field by Vandy and GSU. While no-one will confuse us with having great talent, we had similar (or better talent) than USCe, UK, Mizzou, Vandy, MSU, Ole Miss, Arky (and BYU/GSU/WVU). Kirby inherited a great situation but he took them further in 2 years than Richt did in 15.

. I agree completely and as much as I hate to say it we aren’t beating Kirby anytime soon unless it’s a fluke win like how South Carolina beat them last season. They are still miles ahead of us and we will never line up and out talent them on the field.
