The Atlanta Braves

Sorry to bombard the thread, but I just want to know what happened to the free wheeling gunslinger in Toronto. He traded his best prospect for half a season of David Price. He traded Snydergaard. He got Buehrle and Reyes. He traded for Tulo. Like he was never afraid to make a move in Toronto and now he won’t trade anyone that MIGHT have a chance to be good.
This is just a really weird, almost stupid season in a lot of ways. 60 games, half the league makes the playoffs. It's a real crap shoot, and potentially trading away a prospect that goes on to do big things to try and win in a weird, shortened season would probably look doubly as bad as it would otherwise.

It’s still going to count and expanded playoffs prob isn’t going anywhere

I don't think they'll continue expanded playoffs in this precise manner, and at least for 2021 I bet they go back to normal playoffs. They'll definitely expand the playoffs at some point, but I bet it looks different from 2020.

They're only playing 60 games, which is just slightly over a third of a season. It's like an NFL season going 6 games then having an expanded playoff format where a bunch of 3-3 teams (or maybe even some 2-4 teams) make the playoffs. It's weird, gimmicky, and will be looked at with an asterisk in a way that lockout or strike-shortened seasons are not, especially given that MLB playoffs in a normal are kind of a crap shoot anyway.

I’m convinced Magic paid an intern to tweet and then that intern made a parody account

Why don't they bring Pache and Waters up to see what they actually have in those players? Everyone knows what Ender and the other players bring. Let's give some the prospects a chance.

There's no difference in a prospect and Ender. May actually see a hit in the box score.
Or . . . you might not. I have to believe that they don't think Pache is ready for MLB pitching or he'd have gotten a bunch of ABs a couple of weeks ago. Plus, they're paying Ender and their egos need ROI.
