The AP full preseason poll -

In case not everyone knows how the AP poll works, this post will make it simple. There are 62 voters that submit a top 25 rankings list. Points are awarded by rank. For example in the full preseason poll for teams planning to play as well as for the quitters, Tennessee was ranked #25. Of the 28 voters that listed Tennessee in their top 25 poll submissions, 2 had the Vols as the 12th best team in the country. Points are awarded in an inverse fashion, so a #1 vote would yield 25 points while a vote at #25 would yield only 1 point. The two 12th place votes got us 28 of the 133 total points we ended up with in the poll.



Range of votes for SEC teams:
UA = 1-6
UGA = 3-11
LSU = 1-15 (1? LOL)
UF = 4-15
A&M = 4-25
UT = 12 - NR
UK = 20 - NR
MSU= 25 - NR

AP didn't say UT only gets one of out the four of Dawkins, Mondon, Mims, or Green. He was responding to a direct question: Do we get at least 1 out of the 4 of those guys? Not necessarily 1 only.

I agree with you that Green seems like the most likely of the 4, at least at the moment to end up in Knoxville. But, I think 3 of the 4 are actually realistic with only UT possibly fading with Mondon.
