Just depends on school district (and teachers), but I have been very impressed with our virtual teaching so far. My 4th and 3rd graders are also learning about how to handle technology (moreso than me), which is an added bonus.
Just letting you know. Many virtual options claim to provide all IEP accomodations but you're correct in students with IEPs need more than just accomodations. They need the help from a teacher or TAA big problem with the virtuals here is that the school has not provided extra staff that work with students with IEPs, such as my 7-yr old grandson. He lost the last 3 months of 1st grade, and now for the first month of 2nd grade has not had the teacher that works 1 on 1 with him at sheduled times during the class day. At that age it is critical that he has that exta help and it has not been provided. But a meeting was held Monday and my daughter was at least told during the meeting that the school will get his IEP set up ASAP, and also that at least as of now, they plan to get K-4 and students with IEPs back to real school.
You must be new here. We do talk a lot of recruiting when there is news to discuss. We discuss pretty much everything else because we like to. Doubt it's going to change anytime soon. Can we please, please stick to recruiting/football talk ONLY in this forum? Like most of us, I come here to discuss and get updated on the latest news involving UT football and couldn’t care less what anybody’s opinions are regarding the BLM protests, Covid-19, etc. There is a politics forum specifically designed for such conversations and that is where those conversations should stay. I’m begging those who keep posting politically charged comments to please stop. I believe Volnation is by far the best college football forum out there and I hate to see it evolve into Twitter 2.0

Why depend on the government. Why isn’t the parents fulfilling this role? If I were you I’d take the matter into my own hands instead of complaining about government for not providing for you. Football has changed due to the offensive and defensive schemes, not a lack of defensive intensity. The NBA game has changed because they simply do not put forth the effort on the defensive side of the ball. A guy makes one juke and the defensive player gives up. This never happened in the Magic, Bird and Jordan era’s. Heck I bet I could score double figures in today’s NBA game and I’m turning 59 this year and only 5’7 tall.Did you stop watching CFB when 15% of teams gave up fewer than 20 ppg in 2000 vs 28% of teams last year? The game has changed, no?
Lol @stopped playing defense...just watch any closeout now vs 20 years ago. Night and day. The offense has just become far more advanced. Spread out the floor, more 3s, pick n rolls, or hard drives (statistically correct), fewer jump shots and teams mindlessly filling the paint with multiple offensive guys.
Defense is a completely different game than it used to be shoving everyone into the paint. And the competition is significantly better now. It is worldwide.
