Interesting--- didn't think those guys would make a push... you think Ansley is mentioning them to light a fire?
I guess AT and Flowers think they have it locked up?

Ansley said that Bryce Thompson and Alontae Taylor have been starters since Freshman and that’s a luxury at the position. AT is not in any spot to lose his position. Bruin trying to put smoke where there isn’t any.

Idk why but I have high hopes for Kivon Bennett and Brandon Johnson this year.

Also what a boon if Burrell continues to get better. I’ll be honest and confess I all but forget to consider him when I think about the DB rotation

Agree--- so nice to be talking about multiple players pushing for positions, meaning we are building some serious depth finally... The way Bennett finished the season, he is going to be a head-hunter this year I believe.

Burrell started when BT was out last year, and AT lost his spot for a couple of games. BT and Shamburger have their spots, but AT took awhile to get into form and Burrell absolutely could take that spot if AT has another BYU type game.

But Burrell performed significantly poorer than AT. I'm taking a wait and see approach here.

just saw that the '97 SECCG is on SEC Network.
Great game/comeback.but the black outline numerals look hideous. Thank God they are not part of the present day uni's.

AT was battling a hamstring injury you ever had one? I’ve torn mine. It hasn’t felt right ever since and took me almost 4 months to feel sort of normal.

He was playing on it in one month. He was naturally going to struggle until it got back to 100%. Also, guys have bad games and that throw on AT wasn’t just ATs fault it was also Warriors fault for missing the Tackle.

I think Burrell performed about as well as could be expected for a freshman. I think it's obvious that AT and BT were/are number 1 options, but AT seemed to hit that "sophomore slump" early on last year and then rounded into form. If AT isn't sharp mentally early on, I think he could easily lose minutes to Burrell which hasn't necessarily been the case at the CB spot in the last 5 years or so.

AT actually had a hip injury he battled through the first half of last season. He started playing pretty well when he finally got healthy.

Thank god the NBA decided to resume the playoffs, don’t know what we would’ve done if the fortunate rich guys Didn’t wanna play anymore
Whoa pal. Take a lap! Let the morning shift take this smarm, please?

Thank God, the NBA decided to resume the playoffs, if only I gave one flying rats ****ing ass?

Bennett has gotten better and was so close to making some huge plays last year. He appears to be ready for LB this year after he originally bulked up when arriving to campus.

I love AT and the way he came back strong. But he missed the defensive call in the BYU game and let his guy behind him. Pruitt lost his mind over it. Yes, Warrior missed a tackle that could have saved yards. But the deep ball was completely on AT.

AT also needs to clean up his tackling. We can't have players getting ejected from the game for targeting.

I believe Im thinking of 2018 so maybe that's no longer an issue.
