Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Yep. 5.6 million cases and 176,000 deaths is pure paranoia. Parents beware when even those that should know better let their off-the-Mark persona over ride scientific based logic

Just as there are some races and age groups that are more susceptible than others the opposite is likely probable

Out of 330+ million people. Again, I’d rather be left to take my chances.

Might want to actually read the article before you comment on it; just a suggestion.
I did. For some fairly large percentage of us Covid is close enough to a common cold variety that we can already fight it off.

My admittedly rudimentary understanding of diseases knows that the common cold is not one disease, or even strains of one disease. The common cold kills. Just for most people our bodies have fought off enough of these where we either dont notice at all, or we suffer very minor symptoms. For some it can kill. The best strategies to combat the spread of the cold is to wash your hands, and cover your sneezes and coughs.

Now again, in my limited understanding, the above description for the cold sounds a lot like what we are hearing about Covid.

The only thing new about Covid is the name. We arent seeing symptoms we havent seen before, it hasnt spread via some new method. Heck our bodies have largely read enough of the prequels to know what happens this time.

It's not a hoax, people are dead, but our reactions have been WAY overblown. Nothing I had read says otherwise. In fact the more I read the more I confirm that thought.

Well day 1 of Knox County Schools. At the local elementary school parents can no longer walk kids in so everyone has to use the car line and the kids have to have their temps checked prior to exiting the vehicle. I live literally right up the hill from the school, left the house 30 minutes before school started and it took me 35 minutes to drive .3 miles and that’s taking the long way around as that’s how the school is forcing traffic. For me, I can leave 10 minutes earlier and it’s no problem. The issue is that traffic was still backed up for half a mile or more in one direction and there were a couple other directions that were also backed up. Some kids were probably an hour late this morning. I’ll be curious to see how the elementary school addresses it but I’m not sure what they can do. Part of the problem is people not paying attention and not moving up in line when they can but that’s only part of the issue and not something the school can really affect. The middle school was easy but this really isn’t a change for them as people didn’t usually walk kids in anyway there so it was business as usual. Have any of you had any other experiences from this morning or whenever your first day was if you’re not in Knoxville?

We can't walk in kids unless they are pre-k or K and have before school care. After that all get out and go in alone. Car line sucks but I can't imagine doing it with people walking kids in

We put our kids on the bus and they get there in plenty of time. Did one day of car line and they have them out in the pavilion sitting at distance with masks on. They want the bus everyday and so do we

I will get a report back this evening from my crew.

That said, I am already sick of the superintendent and all of our principals. Our family has decided to go back to school, I need the educators to focus on that. Not all this other nonsense.

One of this country's biggest problems is that people like you continue to rationalize his behavior.....and most of time, your posts aren't accurate in these silly rationalizations

A president no less fiscally conservative than others, or Marxists who call him Nazi and Russian asset while waging a four year coup attempt to overturn the election.

Pretty f’ing easy choice.
