The dude could be sooo good. From a analytical perspective his case is a fascinating one. I don't think I have ever seen a case like his before. Guys either can play or not usually based on their physical gifts, he can play, he really could be a very good QB if not for his mental issues.
Maybe JG could benefit from microdosing 🤣😂

Ah, he told season ticket holders in explanation of what is going on.

The man is a Tennessee legend. We haven't been good since he left. We wrongly fired him, humiliated him, and treated him like garbage. Even still, when we needed a new AD and it was obvious he was the right man for the job, we shunned him again and hired a loser in John Currie. Even still, Phil came in when Currie fell on his face and he saved the program. If it wasn't for Phil there's no telling where we would be right now.

Then he went out and hired a dang good football coach and every move he has made has been excellent thus far. I wouldn't care if they increased his salary. I'm certainly not going to criticize him for taking a 15% reduction in pay, especially when I don't know the fullness of what his job requires on a day to day basis. I just know I'm thankful he's in charge and I trust him fully.
Agree with every word of that. But when you say you are taking a pay cut to help the university at a time like this, people are going to look to see how much you are actually helping to judge if it's for publicity, to get others to follow, or is really helping. Glad he is giving. Hope others follow his lead. Hope those that can afford more give the most if the university needs it. Preferably as quietly as possible.

look the problem is clear and it’s that their first waiver request are poorly written,
Getting denied, and they are then having to get bailed out by outside counsel on second appeals. Those are facts

And In the meantime games are being lost while we wait, Coaches are left not knowing how to prepare rotations and players are left not knowing if they are working toward actually playing in games.

You can’t argue with any single thing I have posted here. They are facts
How do you know they are facts. Have you read the first waiver? Do you know what normal waivers are suppose to look like.

Also games aren't being lost. Solomon kept practice the whole time like he was going to play and he was cleared to play by week 1. I think pretty much everyone knew that Gibbs wasn't going to play. So what are your examples about transfers waiver status losing us games?

I think people are missing the point. It's not the percentage reduction, its the fact it was flaunted to the media that the pay reduction was taking place. He could have taken a pay cut and not made it a PR move. I'm sure majority of the thousands of UT donors don't advertise their donations each year for PR or ego. They do it for their love for the university behind the scenes. Well that and so the government doesn't take it.

I think that is what AV's heartburn is here.

What does Phil have to gain with a PR move?

That's what I was trying to say lol. Someone pointed out it may be because they are going to ask others to follow.

I can’t patronize someone’s sacrifice. I think he makes between $300-$500k. Which is substantially less than Dave Hart. Yes yes I know that’s triple what most of our household income is but still. But the optics of asking fans donate 100% of previous funds to secure the tickets with this statement is a bit tone deaf:

"We all face considerable financial shortfalls due to COVID-19"

Like SaS said, just keep it as private as you can...

Regarding PF salary:

"Fulmer in April 2018 signed a four-year contract worth $1 million annually. The contract, which runs through Dec. 31, 2021, pays Fulmer $300,000 in base salary, $600,000 in supplemental pay and an annual $100,000 retention bonus."

Phillip Fulmer announces pay cut as Vols cut from budget

Jack, Jack, Jack.... No one is taking away CPF's love and accomplishments for our beloved UT. Just saying bragging about 15% like you're the widow giving 2 mites is not a good look. If AV isn't one of our boosters there are others that are not going to see that as anything but a PR stunt or maybe a way to get others to follow the lead.

The man got fired, when we should have retained him. Then got passed over for Dan Mullen's older brother ar AD, Nick Saban's buddy, then another one of Dan Mullen's kin.

In short, the man, as far as Im concerned has earned his $300K. If donors feel entitled to have their say, so be it. Their money, if it bothers you dont give.
