50%+ of the time spent at meetings held around a conference table are people pretending to be a) busy and b) smart. It’s my biggest corporate pet peeve. It’s become almost a catch phrase for me to eventually get fed up and ask whether our mission was to have meetings or make money.Oh, huge win. Especially for the calls I’m just monitoring to make sure no one says anything wrong or answer specific questions.
I agree; keep Pache in the lineup and in his premier position, CF. This kid is not a 4th outfielder. So are we gonna bench Ender when Markakis comes back up or immediately send Pache back down? If we've already brought him up, we know he's the plan for the future, why not keep him up? Ender has been pitiful anyway and even his defense has dropped off.
A) Andruw friggin Jones debuted in RF. It’ll be okay
B) His career minor league OPS is about the same as Ender’s career ML OPS
I like the guy too but it’s not like he’s Mike Trout or Ronnie
That’s the only reason I made a big deal about it. Right now we project to have 2 Enders at the plate.... his value is very much tied to CFHe’s also 21 who barely has 100 PA above AA.
It’s obvious people see prospect list and just assume “OH HES A TOP 20 PROSPECT HE IS A STAR” when yes he’ll be an extremely valuable player but not because of his bat. He’s ranked so because he’s a high floor defender that is going to win multiple gold gloves and can run like hell. Hell if he puts up a 90 OPS+ this year I’ll be extremely happy.
