Gun control debate (merged)

Nope. Society has decided morphine should be treated differently than alcohol and cigarettes. Something about recognizing the fact that even though all 3 are bad when abused, morphine rises to a different level.
And society has the right to make that decision.
So more Americans die from morphine use than alcohol or tobacco?

They state that assault weapons are commonly used in crimes and they need to be stopped. But they are actually only 3% of firearm use. Well below handguns, and I think even shotguns.

And your 14 million proves the point. In any given year less than 10k firearms murder someone. This includes use by the government. That is .07%. You are justifying going after 14 million based on 10k.
Let me make this easy for you.
14,000,000
10,000

And none of the measures brought up by biden do anything to reduce that 10k.

Based on the logic you are displaying here the only race that should be allowed to walk around and have any rights would be asians. All others, including white people, have more than .07% of their population in jail.

In fact white people are ,approx, 30 times more guilty than guns are. Suspending the illogical nature of an inanimate object being guilty.

So if you really actually cared and actually believed in your stance about what is dangerous you would be locking up entire races.
So there wasn't really a documented lie. 3% still makes it common.
Many of the measures brought up by Biden address the 10k - especially number 7.

um....you are saying people should only be able to purchase one a month, which is not only illegal, but pointless...and you are stating that "fewer" should be allowed to be purchased which is YOU saying guns that would be legally purchased shouldn't be
I also wonder if he knows that there are far more than 14 million people in the US.....

The anti-gun crowd isn't even really worth engaging at this point. No amount of logic or facts will make the light come on in their heads.

Just keep on buying guns and ammo.

Yeah. About to start another AR10 build before prices become ridiculous. 10.5" SBR in FDE.

Are the wait times still the same for form 1 online or have they been short staffed and back to extended lead times? Last one I did was form 1 and took about 6 weeks.

Who said that?
Strychnine kills fewer than alcohol or tobacco, but it is more closely controlled and regulated. It's not a difficult concept.
You said it rises to a different level. I figured you meant it affected more lives than readily available items. I didn't realize you were just inventing reasons to try and make your argument appear sound

Actually I believe that 3% you cite would be for rifles of all types. The actual percentage of AR type rifles used would be less. (although I've never seen where that delineation has been actually tracked so going much beyond "absolutely less than 3%" is about all that can be stated without being speculative)

I would just slap a brace on it and not go through all of that ATF bs.

I was referring more to the risk / benefit assessment, and the rationale of having it easily available to the general public at large.

I agree. Just working with the data presented instead of feels like luther is. You know reasonable and rational.

LOL @ You guys talking to Mick and Luther about liberal gun policies and asking if they think it’s fair or acceptable . Mick is a political follower that will accept what he’s told and Luth is a “ how you eat an elephant “ guy . He’s always more than happy to take one bite at a time until it’s gone .

Might does not make right.

Sure go ahead and try to repeal the 2A
Might = strength
Strength = numbers
Might = numbers
If the numbers were there, 2a could be repealed, correct?
If it was repealed, then following 2a would no longer be right. correct?
Might (numbers) makes right.
