Price was one factor, but I’m willing to pay more if it equals quality and longevity. In reading reviews, the quality of the Pit Boss has increased over the past few years to rival that of the Traegers. Also, Joe Traeger now works for the parent company of Pit Boss, so that helps. What was the deciding factor on the pitboss? I'm trying to weigh options between all of the pellet grill companies and their products out there.

The final factor was functionality. You can get the Pit Boss hotter and thus seat with it. Can’t do that (as easily) with the Traeger.
Here’s the kicker: my wife was the one pushing to buy a pellet grill. I just had to pick one.
Well it is because the MLB is sayingAs a big baseball fan, I try really hard to keep cynicism and grumbling out of my enjoyment of the game, but grrrrrr.
I just watched this great video that MLB just put out with a big lineup of stars and notable people all tipping their caps to the 100th anniversary of the Negro Leagues, and I was smiling the whole way through as they all, one by one, showed their appreciation and respect. It was great to see, given all that the Negro Leagues were, and couldn't be, and rose above to make the game what it is today.
Then they finish it off with Rob Manfred's hat tip, and after all the nice and genuine gestures, his is delivered looking off to the side as he robotically reads his script. It was like maybe 30 words that he couldn't bother to internalize and deliver with a modicum of sincerity, or at least memorize! Just seemed to symbolize his whole superficial, lip-service approach to running MLB.
Yeah, I know, should be in the MLB forum, but this is where I hang out so it's where I do my bitchins.
I'm on the fence about getting a Blackstone. The moment I learn how to get the hibachi slap beats, with the spatulas, down I will be full scale.Price was one factor, but I’m willing to pay more if it equals quality and longevity. Even the leader of spreading bear fear and hatred agrees. He cannot deny the cuteness of a baby bear:Pretty much...but they are just so stinking cute..

Are subtly pointing out @BaldBiker is really a female?Watched a video yesterday of a biker getting drug around by a bison. She had her pants ripped off and got pretty banged up. Idiots!!
Pretty much my wife bought it for herself, I mean me, for Father’s Day, so about two months now.Yeah, I heard Mr. Traeger was in a lawsuit with Traeger over some dumb marking that included his own farm (if I remember correctly). I think he ended up losing, but the main reason Trager went after him was because he started working for Pit Boss.
How long have you had the Pit Boss? Have you had any issues with paint peeling?
Also, kudos on the wife. My wife is starting to enjoy my BBQing. She definitely likes the outcome. Couldn't care less when I talk to her about it, but she listens...the poor thing.
Lol you see how hesitant the WRs were to get in there? It’s like they were doing an equation before they decided to help.....Friend is coaching them up right. Every single OL was happy to get behind that pile.
Then they celebrated afterward like they had scored a TD. Love it. Those guys never get the credit for anything, so it's cool to see them get it and celebrate some.
Trust the coaches. I have a question to ask about that. Last year at the beginning of the season Dan Mullen, a.k.a. the QB whisperer, started Feleipe Franks over Kyle Trask. Franks gets hurt in their game with Kentucky and Florida was trailing on the scoreboard at the time. If Franks doesn't get hurt Kentucky likely wins that game. Instead Franks goes down, Trask comes on and rallies them for the win, and goes on to have one of the best seasons as a QB not just in the SEC but in all of college football. I don't know anybody who think Franks could have ever done that. jmo.
Why in the hell did Dan start Franks over Trask at the beginning of the season unless his claim to be a QB guru is wildly overstated?
None of the QBs we trotted out there last year were very accurate. That's not all that unusual for first time guys like Maurer and Shrout but if your QB is a 3rd year guy and struggles with accuracy, Houston, we may have a problem. Well over 30% of the passes thrown AT our 4 top guys last year, Jennings, Callaway, Palmer, and Wood-Anderson, were rated as uncatchable by SECStatCat. JG's depth adjusted accuracy was 42.34%, Maurer was at 31.93%, and Shrout was at 31.77%. Our receivers would need to have a catch radius the likes of which don't exist anywhere in reality.
I don't know how our QB situation is going to shake out this year but I'm not taking it for granted that what I can see if it conflicts with the coach's views makes my judgement wrong by default.
Maybe our guys will have improved during the offseason. That would be normal. Identify the areas you need to work on and work on those. Most analysts are not holding their breath that we will have addressed our QB issues this year. Last year PFF had JG rated as the 21st best returning QB in the nation but by year end they had bumped him down to #80.
I think it was last week in this thread where some posters were suggesting Justin Fields wasn't all that good, an assessment apparently to some degree shared by Chaney and/or Smart in the 2018 season, at least in comparison to Jake Fromm State Farm. I see it completely the opposite and I think my view is shared by most NFL draft scouts. Obviously, that doesn't make us right but barring any major setback Fields is going to get paid big time. jmo.
After their 4th game in 2018 Clemson benched Kelly Bryant and handed the ball to Trevor Lawrence full time. Trevor went on, as a true freshman, to win the national championship that year. I'm not trying to start a fight or anything but only one QB on our roster to my knowledge has ever been compared favorably to Trevor Lawrence. I'll let you guess which kid that might be. jmo.
Lastly, if we screw up the QB situation this year, and at this point there''s no real reason to believe we will, but if we do, then dammit I'm taking my support over to the player's union . jmo.
