So her biggest liabilities are that she is wishy washy and... that she represented her constituents?
She’s the VP pick, so historically she has like a 1% chance of being impactful (and she’s not Sarah Palin so probably even less than that).
That issue with her lack of direction just disappeared. She’s getting her marching orders from Biden now. Say what you want about Biden, his campaign has been rock steady I’m sticking to its vision. He got in a deep hole in the primaries and he stayed in his lane and stayed consistent to his message.
Not many people love her but few really hate her. So she’s just like every other viable VP pick.
The people who did hate her are Bernie hacks (see: Shaun King) who came around because... well because they’re hacks.
She’s articulate, much more articulate than Biden. She can campaign and raise money. She can hold her own in a debate, although IMO she’s got some liabilities vis a vis Pence. She’s probably not going to get destroyed by Katie Couric. She can stay on message and be a good surrogate for Biden, and that’s her job now, so her personal politics don’t really matter.
She’s a middle of the road pick, but he relegated himself to a middle of the road pick when he locked in to picking a woman.
