2020 Presidential Race

Okay. To quote the Right's hero Ronald Reagan - Are we better off now than we were 4 years ago?
1. Trump's response to the pandemic was awful and cost American lives. He had no plan to combat it and didn't stop the people who were claiming it was a hoax. He could have done so much more initially to prevent the spread of this at the rate it has occurred, but didn't.
2. He attempted to pull us out of NATO and withdrew us from the WHO. These are organizations where we have been the leader and other countries looked to us for guidance, but not under Trump.
3. He constantly demeans and degrades minorities whether directly or indirectly and has created a huge issue in this country with race. He has undone so much of the progress that this country had previously made in this regard.
4. Our deficit is at an all-time high and the middle class is getting squeezed. The economic situation in this country and jobless rate are awful. The recession is also here to stay I'm afraid and most of this can be attributed to Trump.
5. We are a joke internationally and other countries and their leaders literally laugh at us due to Trump.

This is all I have time for now, but there are many more.

Me and my family are better off now than we were 4 years ago even with Covid. I'm in a position to leave my kids and grandchildren something that will help them survive the coming collapse and a financial collapse is coming regardless who wins the White House or controls congress. Washington might be able to kick that can down the road another 20-30 years but it's coming.

1. Covid is in no way is Trump's or any other American's fault. I don't know what Trump could have done to better mitigate the situation, yes he should have taken a more serious tone but when he did act he was ridiculed by the opposition and press. POTUS doesn't have the power to do stay at home orders or shutdown businesses so I don't exactly know what he cold have done differently and surprisingly nobody (like yourself) has been able to provide an answer to that question.

2. He didn't attempt to pull out of NATO, he threatened to if other member countries didn't start living up to their commitments. WHO failed us and the world with Covid so why shouldn't we pull out if they will not reform? And no other countries didn't look to us for guidance, they look towards us for protection and handouts.

3. Race relations have been in the crapper for the last 11 years. If anyone has stoked teh fires it's been the left and it's sycophant media. Should Trump shut off his twitter? Absolutely and he should rise above petty insults.

4. Agreed the deficit and debt is getting to the point it will be unmanageable, see my first comment. BUT as for the recession, that is solely owned by the many governors and mayors who have completely botched this pandemic.

5. No they don't. They are scared that they will be cut off from our teat and umbrella of protection and they might have to actually start fending for themselves.

And you haven't a clue about the relevance of context.
"Failure in life?" Really
I'll let that comment stand on its own as the perfect representation of you as a poster.

He is right about 1 thing at least. You don't know **** about history or you are trying to bend it to fit your own personal ideas.

1. I can't have a real debate with people who think Covid-19 isn't real. Over 170,000 people have died from this in America alone and the head of infectious diseases has said on multiple occasions that the lack of a coherent response from the federal government cost Americans their lives.
Lockdown Delays Cost at Least 36,000 Lives, Data Show
2. NATO is an important and crucial organization whether you think so or not.
3. C'mon, really?Donald Trump’s long history of racism, from the 1970s to 2020
Also, for the record, Biden was not my first choice, but compared to Trump, he is certainly a better option for minorities, although this is an incredibly low bar.
4. https://www.newsweek.com/national-d...llion-during-trumps-3-years-president-1503864
5. You're remarks here certainly have a xenophobic undertone.
Trump Is a Bad Joke That America Has Played on Itself—and the World

Also, I didn't even touch on the whole impeachment issue and how Trump's actions there were abhorrent to say the least.

The irony that somehow Biden will do "less government and more freedom" is too much.......this country is screwed no matter who is in office. And, sadly, deserving of the crap that is coming down the pike as we have allowed this carnival to become the sh** show that is American politics.

That's not even what he said.

Biden is a big government dope but he is better for America because Republicans in congress will oppose him. Right now we have a big government dope in the WH and the Republicans in congress are 3-way circle jerking with him and the D's, and they're getting it all over our faces.

I don't think it matters any which way anymore, the elite, no matter D or R, are on the same side behind closed doors.

We are slowly moving into a world of the top 0.05% working together to preserve power and money, whilst they use the public to stay blind and stagnant.

Both sides are one in the same, and when the camera's aren't rolling, they laugh at the entirety of the population who stay oblivious or subservient.

I do not think there is one real genuinely decent soul left in D.C. sadly. Agenda's and personal gain and security, that is the con.

You said higher incomes. I listed many of the highest. If you remember your first beer you wasn’t doing it right. Move along doofus.

The context was wall street higher incomes which is a different concept. Again, please find some evidence that supports your claim. You listed 9 people, this research gives slight advantage to the Republicans and that's due to recent surge in democrat support. Rich people don't like unpredictability and impulsive decisions.

The top 25 Americans who funded politics in 2018

My already previously linked 2016 exit poll data has lower incomes going Democrat and higher incomes about 50=50. In 2000, 3 out of 4 Americans making more than 100k voted Republican.

If you don't remember your first beer than you haven't had one yet or you need help. By definition, you are doing it wrong.

Trump hit all the racist dog whistles with this one. He is so dumb that he doesn't realize he is losing the suburban vote with bs like this.

Maybe he should stop watching so much crap on tv like Bill maher and do some work. Maybe then he wouldn't be losing so bad right now.

MSM already taking bets on when Slo Jo will step aside.

This election cycle has cemented, in my mind, that we are either much closer to becoming an Idiocracy than I thought, or the people pulling the strings in this country are committing the biggest troll job in history.

You can't make this up. You have Trump on one hand, and Biden/Harris on the other. That Democrat ticket makes zero sense and will get torn to shreds in debate on past statements alone, but then again it is Trump so no telling what will happen.

It's not about having good people, it's about having accountability. There is very little accountability in a 2-party system where a huge fraction of voters is settling for its idea of the lesser of 2 evils. We can blame the politicians all we want, but we keep voting for them.

Rhetorical: if you voted for Trump in 2016, that $3.7T deficit this year is on you. If you voted for W, McCain, Romney, and Trump or Kerry, Obama, Hillary, and Biden, when the financial collapse happens, it's on you. I hope y'all remember that. Your first instinct will be to blame the other side, but **** you. It's on you.

As is the norm with all of life now, no accountability is the problem. But, it is about good, decent, and genuinely caring people because it is those types who are the only hope for things to change. Problem, solution.....the exact opposite of politics, as we are dealing with the same basic issues and problems for decade after decade with no solutions....

I've said for a long time, the only way "politics" will work today, is to be so wealthy you cannot be bought no matter, or, a modern monk with no care or concern for money. Sadly, these types will not succeed in D.C. as the machine and the parts are all one in the same cog.

The reality is righteousness does not exist. The thought of real accountability exists less.
