Sort of random, but a 247 poster made a good point. How many student-athletes may lag in classes/become academically ineligible if at home doing virtual classes in their own? Far less meaningful in-person tutoring, structure, and coaches getting in them about hitting the books every day in person.

Maybe not, but it seems like a reasonable concern.

Virtual schooling is going to be an absolute disaster across the board. A small percentage of students with stable home lives, stable internet connections, quiet places to study, and plenty of self-discipline will be able to handle it properly. The rest won't.

That’s a really good point

Classes are gonna get cancelled in a couple weeks anyway. Cases are about to spike big time. Just keep that Sept 26th date and let the student athletes stay on campus when everyone else has to inevitably leave.

I think there's gonna be some lawsuits over this. Hear me out...

I don't think the NCAA will allow conferences planning to play to gain that kind of recruiting advantage over the others who have canceled. So they will make everyone cancel. Then, the lawsuits from the other conferences that want to play.

Listening to PAC 12 presser and it sounds like they are covering themselves against the SEC and ACC playing by wrapping themselves in that "science" and "health concerns" make their decision the only responsible decision.

They are going to be very angry if the SEC plays.
When* not if.

Numbers are gonna spike, but watch the impact on hospitals and medical resources. I doubt that’s going to change significantly to be honest.

They may make a rule to where only last year players can transfer. Top Jr. prospects as well. Wouldn’t really benefit incoming Fr. Or Soph. transfer (may not play even if they transfer)
