Not really all that surprising considering how the environment was around the program during Butch Jones tenure. I’m sure he treated his players at UT just as bad.

My biggest issue is that even well after we’ve fired this jerk for his incompetence, we’ve continued the Jancek legacy at UT giving every single one of his kids walk on spots on different vols teams. His third son will be a walk on the football team this year (his first son was a recent grad walk on QB and other son is currently a walk on on the basketball team). Even though he’s a douche I guess he made some good friends in the athletic department and around town.

Butch fired Jancek. And I hope you never make any mistakes so your kids don’t get penalized for your transgressions

You are right. When cut, we bleed the same color. When we have surgery, we are the same color inside. Racism comes from the word "race", it's not called "geneticism". Culture, environment and upbringing are all affects that breed racism. To break racism down to genetics is going to far, although I do agree with that statement.

This. Great DCs don’t blow 3 4th quarter leads in 4 weeks. He couldn’t get Mayfield or Grier off the field on 4th down and it burned us.

You are absolutely right! The physical differences are only because of the geographical environment one’s ancestors evolved in. Wish more people knew this.

I'm shocked that folks believe this couldn't have possibly happened. It's all these spoiled, woke kids making it hard on the rest of us. Damn this cancel culture. I wish racists would just make it easier on us, just wear a pin or badge proclaiming your racism.

I actually thought he was in the neighborhood of a "good" DC during his time here, definitely not great. Unfortunate that he reported to a HC that had no business being HC at a Tennessee caliber program.

I always thought he seemed like a quality coach in his interviews and how he called the game during his time here. He ended up being Butch's fall guy. As we all know, we had deeply rooted problems on those teams that started at the very top.

He was fired for his 4th down defense, a ridiculous reason since it's a stat with such a small sample size tho it did cost is some games. Jancek had a great 3rd down defense, which in my opinion was more important. We brought in Shoop from Penn State who had a great 4th down defense.

Top 5 in third down % top 20 in points per play and points per game. I thought that was great. Especially given the sharp decline after he left. I don’t think I’m the only one who thought if he stayed, we would’ve won the East in 16

If you read into the allegations it seems the “racial insensitivity” is not openly supporting BLM and not pretending Covid is an extreme health risk for d 1 athletes

Top 5 in 3rd down conversions. Top 20 in points per play and points per game.

Leaves the next year and essentially the same team finishes around 70 in those categories. You don’t get hired by both Georgia and UT because you’re incompetent.

We should have won the east and perhaps the conference in 2016 with a good HC. But, your right, the defense wasnt the problem.

His children shouldn’t pay for his issues. All seem fine young men with some athletic ability.
